McDaniel Watson was taken to UAB Hospital where he was later pronounced dead. He still had his wallet, and a small Bible he always carried in his pocket.

It's sad but the guy's own adoption is a hopeful story. The assailant had apparently asked for the wallet. He was determined to get what he wanted right away or kill. Losing an only adopted son who was so well loved by the mother must be some of the worst pain people can endure.

If you were killed tonight, Deasy, where would your soul go? thanks, lod

Lod, the 501(c)(3) (TAX EXEMPT) modern day churches (and even many in the past) have crapped all over themselves and turned people away from their hypocrisy.

It's easy to understand why so many people have fallen away from the churches because most churches have been corrupted because of the tax exemption.

Too many think they're "Christians" without verifying their beliefs and values with the "Word" itself.

501(C)(3) STATE Churches are required to report tithes. People today expect to get a tax deduction for their tithes ... and the Bible says:

Matthew 6:1 Take heed that ye do not your alms before men, to be seen of them: otherwise ye have no reward of your Father which is in heaven.

2 Therefore when thou doest thine alms, do not sound a trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.

3 But when thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth:

4 That thine alms may be in secret: and thy Father which seeth in secret himself shall reward thee openly.

The FEDERAL RESERVE SYSTEM is why we have the taxes and 501(C)(3) Churches that are required to violate the Bible that they claim to preach. They are liars and hypocrites and make the same of their congregations.

"I do not ask that you place hands upon the tyrant to topple him over, but simply that you support him no longer; then you will behold him, like a great Colossus whose pedestal has been pulled away, fall of his own weight and break in pieces.". Étienne de La Boétie

He might have got shot even if he gave him the wallet, but yeah, he should have handed it to him and maybe the guy would have left him unharmed.

God is always good!

I think I agree with you on the wallet, but it doesn't take away from his personality at all. He apparently wasn't easily cowed by a gun toting thug that day. All around his life is an intriguing story with a lot of unpredictable twists and turns. Makes for an interesting study in love and loss. It sounds like his old adopted mother has no regrets. She's at least half the story right there.
