I had always been told, or had read, it was a member of the royal family gone nuts that was out killing these women. Nope, it was a Polish born Jew named Aaron Kosminski who died in an insane asylum. Interesting about the two dates found on the shawl one being an Eastern Christian holiday and the other the Western Christian version of the same holiday but yet were also dates of the last two murders–coincidences perhaps? Probably not.

This whole DNA thing is interesting. Just today on Sunday morning television, they had a story on about using the DNA of the last passenger pigeon named Martha, that died in captivity this week a hundred years ago, to resurrect the species back into North America. So we can solve ancient murders with DNA–cool. Bringing back extinct creatures–sounds sort of cool but kind of creepy too. I mean, do we want to bring back the Neanderthals? I know, some might say they have never left us.
