So what did you recieve??

I got four packs of "Mike and Ikes" candies, a pound of pistachios, carbon fiber hiking poles (very nice),a road atlas, a bag of mints (my wife's favorites) and a bottle of car wax. The good stuff, turtle wax.

I gave a blow up bed (the big hit of the day), snow board and boot set, titanium cronograph watch, a telephone and some silly stuff.

Anybody get a jet helicopter???

Well now you don't have to be captured by your (usually) meaningless possesions.

Want some Mike and Ikes??

A bracelet that I have been wanting but was too cheap to get for myself:)

This has been a better Christmas than last years for sure. Got to spend the whole day with good friends and awesome food.

Unless you mention politics, and I really did try not to. But I heard my sister say that "We are at war. We were attacked and had to respond.", after I told her how thankful I am that none of her nephews and nieces are in uniform this Christmas.

I didn't even respond by saying that Iraq never attacked us. I just let it go with something like, well if that's what you believe, but I don't.

You should have wrapped and given her two 'red pills' to counteract the extra- strong blue one she had swallowed.

I drove up to Dallas to see my father in a specialty hospital there. (He's recovering from colon cancer surgery and fighting congestive heart failure.)

His NG tube had to be removed since the meds that were put in there clogged it up and could not be cleared...I held his hand and spoon-fed him tiny little cubes of ice over the course of two hours.

I made it back home in time for family dinner with Mrs.L's family, and extended family, and then CRASHED.

It was a wonderful Christmas for me.

The Iraq War is an unconstitutional, unjustifiable conflict devouring innocent lives and abetting the growth of an increasingly lawless leviathan state. It must be ended -- now.

This one was pretty good. I got a shortwave radio (I love radio in all its forms) and I gave a satellite radio thing we're going to have to figure out. He may not keep the satellite radio, but it's an experiment anyway. I also got and gave various nice smelling bath products, and small pieces of jewelry. Also got a great new pair of duckboots so I'm all set to go wading (waddling?) into 2006!

It was a pretty good holiday - no major family fights or problems, just a lot of rushing around.

Now that's a good gift. I've gotta get my Sangean (sp) up and running to catch Alex Jones.

I got some sort of emergency radio/light that has a hand crank to a rechargeable battery for an alternative power source. It can also recharge a cell phone.

Not an auspicious sign for 2006.

Robin, that is an awesome gift!!!! hey, i always figure, better to prepare than be caught short when the storm hits..whatever kind of storm it is. i think the more independent and self contained/sustainable we can become, the better.

aside from that - 2006 is gonna be a much better year. you heard it here first. the wind's gonna change and a lot o'crap is gonna hit the fan.

My Dad bought me an airplane ride, next summer. Bi-Plane, open cockpit. I'll have a complete report... :)

And I'm optimistic. See, I think you can be realistic and optimistic at the same time. I'm optimistic we'll achieve -- I know we won't achieve if we send mixed signals. I know we're not going to achieve our objective if we send mixed signals - gwbush

I got a watch, cartoons, and some pants. The wife got cartoons, video games, and other stuff, not to mention another year with yours truly.

My friends got books, bread, and pesto that I made. Not to mention another year of my friendship.

They are sooooo screwed.

What's that Mr. Nipples? You want me to ask the nice lady about her rack?.

Normally I'm not a heavy-handed regulatory type, but I'd buckle any seat belts that might be made available.

That sounds fantastic! You're gonna love it! I took an abbreviated flying course several years ago - enough to take off, fly around the field, and land (probably as much as your average "terrorist" :) it was one of the high spots of my life. What a great gift!
