Phan Thi Kim Phuc - Wikipedia best known as the child depicted in the Pulitzer Prize-winning photograph taken during the Vietnam War on June 8, 1972. The iconic photo taken in Trang Bang by AP photographer Nick Ut shows her at nine years of age running naked on a road after being severely burned on her back by a South Vietnamese attack. Kim Phuc and her family were residents of the village of Trang Bang, South Vietnam. On June 8, 1972, South Vietnamese planes dropped a napalm bomb on Trang Bang, which had been attacked and occupied by North Vietnamese forces. Audio tapes of President Richard Nixon, in conversation with his chief of staff, H. R. Haldeman in 1972, reveal that Nixon mused "I'm wondering if that was fixed" after seeing the photograph.[5] After the release of this tape, Út commented, "Even though it has become one of the most memorable images of the twentieth century, President Nixon once doubted the authenticity of my photograph when he saw it in the papers on 12 June 1972.... In 2004, Phuc spoke at the University of Connecticut about her life and experience, On October 22, 2004, Phuc was awarded an honorary Doctorate of Law from York University in Toronto, Ontario In 1996, Phuc gave a speech at the United States Vietnam Veterans Memorial on Veterans Day. Dropping the "scurrilous" name-bomb "Nixon" like that is probably enough to deter lots of people from suspecting it could have been a war porn hoax. How many people associate that pic with a South Vietnamese attack by South Vietnamese planes rather than believing the Americans did it? Probably not many. According to Vietnamese custom, this person should properly be referred to by the given name Kim Phuc.

I watched it. I do consider myself more open minded than the average person. I say if this vid is all the evidence he has, he has about no case at all in claiming it's a hoax. The most convincing thing he has is the kid, by all appearances alert and energetic, flopping down on the mat. That's it. That could have easily just been some stupid kid wanting some free food from the hospital by pretending to have ebola. That would easily explain it. He has green shirts. Maybe that's just a popular color of clothing in the country. Come down to Ecuador and I'll show you how popular bright reds, greens and purples are among the indians here. A father with cash in hand? Did the vid show him getting paid? Maybe the father brought cash with him to pay for his son's treatment. Was that US cash or some local fiat currency? If it were Zimbabwe a few years back, that much cash might buy a stick of bubblegum early in the inflation phases. If it was local currency, we have no idea what that much paper would buy. I don't know who this guy is claiming it's such an obvious hoax, but seriously, if this is the best he's got, I'd say he's the one who has no business broadcasting to any audience at all. It is so easy to just claim anything and everything is a fraudulent conspiracy. I guess we have to choose between this one claiming the whole ebola thing is a hoax and the one that says the CIA created and released it as a bio weapon. My 2 cents...
