Two members of the Rusty Rangers, a volunteer Texas militia group, have been arrested on federal weapons charges. Kevin Lyndel Massey and his compatriot John Frederick Foerster have watched for years as illegal aliens continue to stream over the border. They know not all of these immigrants are coming over just to look for a decent paying job. Many of them are involved in gang activity. Their motivation after they come across the border is to set up shop and continue their gang banging ways. When the government failed to do anything to protect them, they took matters into their own hands. Both Massey and Foresster are convicted felons. In 1988 Massey was sentenced to five years in jail for burglary. Foerster served time as well for burglary. After a run-in with local border patrol, they were both arrested: Massey on charges of being a felon in possession of a firearm and Foerster as a co-defendant. If convicted theyll face punishment for breaking the law. The most aggravating part of all of this is neither of them would have ever had to break the law in the first place if the government would just secure the border. Its because of the governments indifference they even felt the need to pick up a gun to defend themselves. Here are the details on what happened as reported by Guns.com: According to the complaint document, on Aug. 29, U.S. Border Patrol agents from Fort Brown came across Foerster in the brush, at which point the defendant pointed his Zastava 39 mm pistol at the agent. The agent fired several shots at Foerster, a member of the Rustys Rangers militia. Massey and Edward Varner, another member of the group, were in the immediate area of the shooting and both were armed, the complaint read. While investigating the shooting, the Cameron County Sheriffs department confiscated five guns from the group, including Foersters pistol, two .45-caliber pistols one of which, a 1911, was carried by Massey and two rifles. Massey was also carrying one of the rifles, a Centurion 39 Sporter. Foerster told investigators with the sheriffs department and the Federal Bureau of Investigation that he borrowed the Zastava pistol from Massey, which Massey confirmed. Its a bad deal all around for these two militia members. Screwed if you do and screwed if you dont kind of thing. And thats how the governments setting things up now. Theyre making all kinds of ridiculous laws to take guns out of peoples hands. Some of the laws are actually getting a lot of traction. You need to do whatever you can (legally) to ensure youre able to hold onto your guns. Theres one way to beat them to the punch

Staying armed is the best way for people to defeat them. Post Comment Private Reply Ignore Thread Top Page Up Full Thread Page Down Bottom/Latest

IMO if someone allows the feds to toss them in prison for something like this they deserve their fate.
What are they going to do to prevent it?
What's needed here is a fully-informed jury to nullify these b.s. "laws".
The most dangerous man to any government is the man who is able to think things out... without regard to the prevailing superstitions and taboos. Almost inevitably he comes to the conclusion that the government he lives under is dishonest, insane, intolerable. ~ H. L. Mencken
Jury nullification is a prime responsibility of an informed jury. The trouble is that the Judge gives the jury his instructions, and that does not necessarily include any information about nullification. ;) "When bad men combine, the good must associate; else they will fall, one by one." Edmund Burke
