I've come out of the woods with a shotgun hanging off of my shoulder only to meet a sheriff's deputy face-to-face and lived to tell about it. Of course, it WAS spring turkey season and I was in the right time and place to be so armed. I embrace my White Privilege :)

Most (greater than 99%) of the time you are going to be okay by acting reasonable. However, when interacting with cops, you never know for certain. You only need to view some of the many videos on YouTube showing cops murdering non violent even passive people to realize that.
