Title: SUPREME COURT RULING: Police Have No Duty To Protect The General Public (I Imagine Everyone Here Knows This)

People who don’t understand taking responsibility for your own safety often ask me why I wouldn’t just call the police to stop a crime instead of drawing a gun. Well for one, a great police response time would be 1-2 minutes, but most crimes take place in a matter of seconds. Two, police have no duty to protect me, or you.

Based on the headline of this article you might think this is an important new ruling, but it’s not. The court has kept this stance for over 30 years.

The Supreme Court has repeatedly ruled that police officers at all levels of the government have no duty to protect the citizens of this country.

It is the job of police officers to investigate crimes and arrest criminals.

We are on our own for protection.

While we are quite sure most police officers will help someone in need when required, just remember the next time you feel you might need protection that police officers have no duty to provide that to you.

I'm sure too that most here know that the police have no duty to protect us but they have sworn an oath to uphold the Constitution. These days they violate their oath with impunity and generally with immunity from prosecution.

The police STATE is the pot of heated water and we are the frogs.

Just like politicians.

Just like the courts and "justice" system.

Wait, I thought it was "to serve and protect ..."

Oh wait, it is, to serve and protect their masters.

To punish and enslave the rest of us.

Yep, as my friend Edd would say, "I believe your mind may be coming back to you." >(;^{]

When I tell people this, they look at me and think that I have finally lost it. I give them a copy of "Dial 911 and Die". You can get it at JPFO. That is the last time the subject come up.

Yeah, sadly enough most of the people in the US think that the cops are actually there to protect and serve them when really what they are there for, for the most part, is writing up the report after something bad happens to you. Or maybe to come to your house and shoot your dog based on bad information and the wrong address. But a duty to protect any individual? Not unless it is some ahole like Obama.
