In a move likely inspired by the "Austin Powers" villain Dr. Evil, a Manhattan man has filed a two undecillion dollar lawsuit against New York City and basically everyone in it. Anton Purisima, 62, is suing for two undecillion, an astronomical amount that would fit quite uncomfortably on a check. With a 2 followed by 36 zeros, the figure appears like so:
$2,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000
According to the New York Post, Purisima filed the hand-written lawsuit in April. He is suing New York City as well as two local hospitals, Kmart, a bakery and even a "Latina" dog owner. The man is requesting damages for "civil-rights violations, personal injury, discrimination in national origin, retaliation, harassment, fraud, attempted murder, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and conspiracy to defraud," says the Post.
In the 22-page document, he details that he is suing for injuries such as an infected middle finger he received after being bitten by a "rabies-infected" dog on a bus. He also added that no amount of money could meet his listed demands, making the damages for his suit "priceless."
Purisima will represent himself in the case but has yet to comment on the suit when contacted by reporters.
