By way of further discussion, my own opinion, again, is the site should be shut down.

I agree. I have made the executive decision. LP will be shut down. I apologize to people for putting them through all this, it just took me way too long to understand that the "right thing" all along was for LP to end when Goldi passed away. I was too focused on trying to keep her "baby" going when in fact LP was a part of her and should have been turned off after people were informed of what happened. Add this to all of the personal hassle and aggravation it has caused and there is really no reason for me to continue this.

What needs to be done to enable site email and can you give a short description of how it works? I don't want to just cut people off from each other.

That whole place was an angry mess. Get past the emotionalism over Goldie, who was nuts, and there's no reason to keep that thing afloat. If you ask me it was more a site that gave dissension type sites a bad name than anything else. Also, far too many establishment types over there. I think that most will end up at Liberty's Flame, which is more aptly named Liberty's flamers so many LP-ers will fit right in. Many were already double posting at both prior to that, at least years ago when I last checked.

Just my two-cents.

Yeah, I just edited my post. Thought I would catch it in time. LOL

But yeah, that's the one, and yes, at last check for me, which again, was like five years ago, there were many cross-posters. Similar type of rage and uncivil discussions at both.

Yeah, it seems that some of them have a time trying to get along. That is why the bozo filter, aka kill file, is a wonderful invention. People don't have to disrupt a site that has that feature if there is someone on it who grates on their last nerve. And I will add that I am not blameless when it comes to flame wars--not that I engage in them these days but I used to.

Oh, so far it has been. I have availed myself of that wonderful invention on LP when I used to post there and even on this site. I get along with most of the people who post here, even those I disagree with at times. But if you have a serious issue with someone it is better to use the tools available than to disrupt the site. I would retire from posting before I would knowingly do that.
