And now the full video showing the shooting of the officer is being scrubbed from You Tube and edited elsewhere. We wonder, why?

So, the cop isn't dead? How come these internet sleuths haven't gone to his home and interviewed him?? Can't have an open-ended "conspiracy" without a solid, irrefutable living casualty. Internet: bring me that cop!! :p

so Rivero was wrong when he said that the video was shot by a member of the Israeli media?
Beats me, I posted what I found when I Googled the Paris shooting video. I do believe, however, that Rivero's crisis actor theory regarding the cop is straight out of Bellevue :)
I think the cop was fakin it, he was a buddy of Bibis.
Cyni, Break out your ruler, steady those hands, and then use it to locate the point of the officers body where a shot would have enterd. I mite be getting olde, but it looks like the upper back to me.
If he'd hit the officer in the upper back, the officer's clothing and body would have absorbed the very visible muzzle blast that is plainly centered forward of and to the left of the officer's head.
I've watched and re-watched; between 12 and 13 seconds it appears to me the gunman aims first for the head, then lowers his shot slightly for the upper back. I assume he was wearing a vest so his clothing, post shot, doesn't offer me any indication it's a fabricated hoax.
Just goes to show you how two people can look at the same record and see two different events. To me, the muzzle blast indicated that the axis of the barrel is plainly to the shooter's left of the officer's head. Viewing from the shooter's right, the rifle does appear to pointed at the supposed victim vertically. Perspective makes it more difficult to determine the aim horizontally however. Just a few degrees to the left or right make the difference between a miss or a kill shot. It's very hard to tell from the camera lens point of view just where that muzzle is directed. The muzzle blast is determinative here, IMHO.
Some observer noted that a "real" AK round fired into the sidewalk would have done much more damage than raise of puff of dust. I agree with that.
That's a good point. I've shot maybe 1000 rounds of 7.62 at various surfaces, and there's something about the appearance of this shot that doesn't look right to me. Also I noticed that in this clip: www.dailymail.co.uk/news/...Dramatic-new-video-shows- Kouachi-brothers-apparently-shooting-police-car-Charlie-Hebdo-attacks.html there is a change in the report of the shots being fired by the black-clad crazies. Just before that (at ca. 55 sec's) the cameraman says, "C'est faux balles." IOW, they're false bullets. (Blanks.)

randge: That's a good point. I've shot maybe 1000 rounds of 7.62 at various surfaces, and there's something about the appearance of this shot that doesn't look right to me. If the sidewalk wasn't damaged because the gun was out of bullets at the time of the shot to it, in your opinion, would an empty AK then fire a blast of air at high enough velocity to raise a cloud of dust? What is the likelihood of someone being shot in the back by an AK and not visibly being moved from the impact, even if they were wearing a protective vest?
