PressTV... An abandoned newborn baby has been saved by a homeless cat as temperatures fell below freezing in Russias Kaluga region, a report says.
A tabby by the name of Masha kept warm a two- to three-month-old neglected baby for several hours in the town of Obninsk, 100 kilometers southwest of Moscow, as temperatures dipped below zero centigrade, Russian Zvezda television channel reported on Thursday.
The baby boy was found abandoned in an entrance-way to an apartment block, where the stray cat lived in a cardboard box.
A resident reported hearing loud cries before she opened her front door and spotted the baby on the floor, with the cat sitting beside him, licking him and trying to warm him.
When paramedics took the baby away by ambulance, Masha started running after them, the resident said.
The baby abandoned with clean clothes, a pacifier and a pack of diapers was given a clean bill of health.
The baby had only been outside for a few hours and thanks to Masha
he was not damaged by the experience, a hospital spokesman added.
Police have launched an investigation for the parents. The baby remains in hospital care.
Meanwhile, Marsha has since been spoiled with food provided by residents in the block.

Iranian 1/16/2015 11:29:38 AM Lol, beautiful cat!, more human than that person who left the kid in that situation!, that's why I like cats so much, because they know how to behave especially towards kids, they know kids are kids so cats don't use their nails against kids even when kids annoy them!
