Title: "Rand Paul: The eleven million (illegal aliens) are never going home, don't need to be sent home. I would incorporate them into our society by making them taxpayers."

U.S. Senator Rand Paul was discussing several issues in a hallway interview January 18th, beginning with immigration: "Then I think there are some things we could accomodate people with, for example the eleven million are never going home - don't need to be sent home. And I would incorporate them into our society by giving them work visas and making them taxpayers. But I wouldn't do that until I secure the border. Because if you do it now, everybody else says, 'hey I can come and they'll just do the same thing for me.' You have to make sure the way you do it is in an orderly fashion, so you dont send the wrong signal."

Rand Paul has totally sold out to the controllers

I wonder if Rand and his daddy go at it privately about this stuff.

Ron Paul said many times that closing the border with force or deporting people was wrong. He also opposed attempts to separate out verified citizens from illegals through enhanced ID mechanisms. I don't remember for sure, but I think he opposed going after employers, too.

I resonated with Ron Paul's message of liberty because I believed it would equalize the playing field. I'm done with that approach now. No more wasted effort on libertarians and anarchists.

Fundamentally, they reject preferences for race and ethnicity as aspects of liberty.

Rand is like a living cartoon character. I've come to find him very entertaining.

Most astute - I completely agree, but I couldn't boil it down like you just did.

You're right about rons positions. Yet somehow, they seemed more palatable coming from him than his sellout son.

I don't know why that should be. Maybe it's because Rand put on a yarmulke and went to the Roman city walls and wailed. Maybe it's because I think it's too late to use their approach. Maybe it's because I've become more cynical.

Ron would have tried to starve the beast. I don't know what Rand would do.

For me it was because Ron tied it in to an all encompassing approach of ending the welfare state, especially corporate welfare. I could tolerate immigration if it were a sink-or-swim proposition, but this garbage of allowing business to hire low wage workers while forcing the rest of us subsidize their living expenses is just evil.

Rand Paul is involved with union-busting, so it fits that he wants to pressure wages downward. Jew and Fat Cat "capitalist" money go a long way in DC.

If he were to go after SEIU and the public sector unions, I would be all for it; but given his track record I'm guessing you mean real unions like UAW and Teamsters.

Rand hates unions, all except the one he belongs to.

His union is enforced by Federal and State government that only those they decide may practice medicine.

On the Senate floor, Paul said that doctors have the RIGHT to make a lot of money.

However, the working man has NO rights.

I was imprecise with the term union-busting. A source (first linked) reported that Koch brothers have funded Rand, and that he has backed a right to work bill in the senate. I don't know what to think of mandatory membership in unions, but I know what things would be like if we had never allowed unions at all. I've encountered Tea Party people who are actively anti-union in both the public and private sectors, using Koch money (or so it seemed to me).

11 million?? Isn't thaqt the number used some 13 years ago?

More like 40-50 mil. If Paul is going to lie about this, what else will he lie about?
