OMG - You do live in Austin. It used to be such a nice small town.

Hi Neil - whats up with Ecuador, my favorite country in SA. FRom what I remember about two months of Spanish immersion, you feel like drowning. The low point of the language process.

I wanted to talk to English speakers, the goooy tedium of the langauge biz was for the birds. Are you doing OK?

FRom there it starts to come together, I think it may be good to take a " Holliday" from the lessons for a week or so. JMHO.

Hook 'em Horns!

Vince Young, you da man. I loved his Austin Powers speech after the game. "We bringin' this back to Austin, Texas, baby!"

I am sure most of the nation was pulling for USC. Texas is hated all over the world for what we've sent to Washington, D.C.

I went to school there and have two UT degrees. Austin and UT are not to be confused with the Bush Crime Family, whose headquarters is up the road in College Station. Bush's CIA director, Bob Gates, is A&M's president.

I have to confess I didn't stay up until the glorious conclusion, but I had a feeling Vince might pull it out. That young man, whose father watched from a Texas prison unit, is one of the most athletically-blessed-by-God individuals I have ever seen on a football field. Reggie Who?

And we should care why???

Exactly. Now we can move onto to REAL football this weekend, where the players can generally be relied on to kick extra points and field goals.

I was fine being there and talking with the locals as needed, but I did stop spanish instruction after 7 weeks. At 4 hours a day it became a bit much.

I suggest anyone doing what I did to limit intensive spanish instruction to 2-4 weeks at a time, and mix it up with some local touring. Either that or just take it ever other day or something. You get tired of it after a while.

my husband and his college football superfan brother think that Vince is the best college player they've ever seen.
