My neighbors' son in 2nd year of college is working on Business Admin. He's currently being taught the importance of "correct" communication, which the above is Part of. (A very Important Part !)

He's shocked and surprised :-)

Indeed. But how many times have we both heard people say that wrong?

Lie and lay - I still don't have those rules down.

I know I got laid last week; I ain't lying. I get them right about half the time.

I welcome any simple rule I can memorize. I'll lie down tonight and do so...or is it lay?

No, I haven't heard from him in years...only online news forums. I have an address, but his phone was disconnected last I tried...again, years ago.

I've written it off for the most part. I had a guy who owed me money (about $300) and disappeared for years. Turns out he spent about 4 years in the pen in Florida and like the Prodigal Son returned here to his daughter's home and the area. He did pay me back in full and we are still social friends. So maybe there's hope yet.

Edit: p.s. I learned my lesson about loaning money and unless it's 20 or 40 bucks, forget about it.
