The Russian President is acting rationally by confronting US efforts to create a Western foothold in Ukraine, since no country would tolerate the emergence of potential rivals on its borders, US journalist and academic Stephen Kinzer says.

Ukrainian government soldiers sit on top of their vehicle driving on a road stretching away from the town of Artemivsk, Ukraine US Plans to Send 300 Military Personnel to Train Ukrainian Soldiers Ekaterina Blinova — President Putin is acting totally rationally by confronting Washington's efforts to turn Ukraine into a Western foothold and defending Russia's perimeter, since no country would tolerate the emergence of potential rivals near its borders, expert says.

All countries try to prevent the emergence of enemies near its borders, emphasized Stephen Kinzer, an American journalist and academic. "If Mexico was to invite Russia to build a military base in Tijuana, or if Canada were to allow Chinese missiles to be deployed in Vancouver, the United States would certainly react," the expert stressed, adding that the US "would preempt the threat — by military means if necessary."

Russia has a long history of withstanding foreign invasions, including German, Polish, Swedish and French interventions. So far, Moscow has reasonable grounds for trying to create a buffer between its potential rivals and its own state.

President Vladimir Putin holds Russian-Cypriot talks © Sputnik/ Sergey Guneev Attempts to Put Pressure on Putin to Change His Stance Futile - Kremlin According to the journalist, instead of accusing Moscow of "aggression" in Ukraine, Washington should admit that over the past decades it was wilfully pushing NATO's military power onto Russia's borders, taking advantage of the trusting Mikhail Gorbachev, then-leader of the USSR, in 1991.

The Alliance took over the Baltic States, planning to expand its power over Ukraine, the Caucasus and Central Asia.

Remarkably, "Ukraine's piece" of the plan nearly worked, when the US-backed protesters in Kiev ousted Ukraine's democratically elected president

Yanukovych in 2014 and demonstrated their willingness to invite anti-Russian forces into the country, Stephen Kinzer noted. According to Kinzer, no responsible leader could tolerate this. Instead of waiting to be encircled, a country should defend its perimeter.

Regardless of the Western stance, Russian President Vladimir Putin, like any leader, "must devote himself above all to defending his country against foreign power," the expert emphasized. Besides promoting democracy in Ukraine, the West is evidently trying to threaten Russia. However, before sending weaponry and military advisers to Kiev, Washington should answer the question how it would react if Russia did the same in Mexico or Canada, the journalist concluded.

The push for Russia's encirclement is coming from Israel whose Zionists can't tolerate powerful states being friendly with Israel's enemies.

Isn't it ironic that we often focus on bullshit that we have no ability to impact ? So much time is spent criticizing, rationalizing, debating, and wallowing in the excrement of geopolitical nonsense when we aren't even capable of standing against the tyranny in Amerika, a supposedly free country.

Is it because we are frustrated with our own impotence that we bang away at these keyboards and argue with shills like "war" - never lifting a finger to destabilize the enemy we call Washington, D.C. and their benefactor the FEDERAL RESERVE BANKING SYSTEM ?

I don't know what Russia's rights are but I do know that I have a right to refuse to be an accomplice with a known terrorist organization such as the U.S. truly is today. I know I have a right to reject out of hand the lies and deceit utilized by the aforementioned to instill fear, hate and murder.

Oh, but we can impact what happens to/in Russia. An aggravated populace is the sole reason Washington isn't bombing Iran, one of its (and Israel's) most desperate goals. DC has just vowed to seize control of the internet specifically because of how it's bringing power to the people. The internet is expressly what gives them the worst nightmares -- and if they really think they're going to regulate it, this I've got to see.

ALL it would take to get the evildoers to beg to be let out of the country quietly is for the public to get sufficiently informed and MAD. (Upper case used for emphasis only.)

During times of universal deceit, telling the truth becomes a revolutionary act -- Orwell. "Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbour: for we are members one of another" (Ephesians 4:25). St. Paul's plan simple would totally SMASH the Jew world order if enough people would just DO IT.

Stopping them from bombing Iran (so far) is just one big thing we've accomplished with a combination of online and offline activism. Yeah, the victories are still way too few, but it would be the simplest thing in the world for us to make big ones happen every day merely if enough of us wanted to.

As far as Russia is concerned, I really hope it goes out of business soon, because it's done nothing but tyrannize (and even absorb) other countries since Peter the Great. But Washington is the last entity that should be screaming obscenities at it much less threatening and encircling it.
