Of course the defense atty. didn't believe him, the default position is guilty until proven innocent in modern America. Status quo.

Naturally the "good cops" in his department are all over this, right?

I mean they've all formally distanced themselves from any and all other cops behaving like this like the SAE Fraternity director distanced himself and his organization away from the OU chapter, right?

Right?

Indicted, ... lol. This was a year ago, anyone know how that turned out?

I'll bet that all the charges were either muted or pled down significantly to the equivalent of minor misdemeanors if even that. Meanwhile, I'll also bet that they got paid for the entire time they were on trial.

A couple of good comments at the YT site:

There is 1 good honorable decent cop out of every 300. There is 10 cool cops who are humble and patient out of every 300. There is 200 crooked cops in every 300. There is 20 cops who had a felony record but wiped clean out of every 300. There is 299 cops out of 300 who lie.

Sounds about right, and not one true hero in the batch that dares actually serve and protect the public.

Why are there so many videos on here about corrupt police? I think American police are all just criminals! That's the way I am seeing it from Australia. Who is letting them do all these animal acts? Are they halfwits trying to get away with these things or just plain animals?? 

Answers: Because they exist, consider though, they're only a small fraction of the abuses that actually occur.

The establishment lets them do it. Not only do they let them, but they encourage it to instill fear of the establishment into society in general as well as to deter any actions against the establishment.

They are in fact halfwits, people of low IQ and all but zero ability to think critically. In fact, there is hardly any thought involved in that job anymore, it's all reacting and in particular overreacting, shooting first and asking questions later, lying through your teeth to suggest that you thought a tube of toothpaste was a gun, etc. Then, as these guys did, when there's evidence, suppress and cover it up.

But we're supposed to believe that the ones that make a high profile are the "exceptions," yeah, right. And I was born on Pluto too.

Trial Date Set

Superior Court Judge Michael L. Ravin set a July 13 trial date for Bloomfield Police Department "dash cam" defendants Orlando Trinidad and Sean Courter.

Both officers rejected state plea deals in connection with charges enumerated in a January indictment.

Trinidad and Courter were indicted on charges of conspiracy, official misconduct, falsifying or tampering with public records, and false swearing in connection with the incident and its aftermath.

Citing a pretrial memo, Ravin said the final offer for a plea deal with each defendant would have resulted in sentences of five years in prison and five years mandatory parole; however, the state will not accept a plea deal after the trial date has been set.

Furthermore, if convicted by a jury at trial, Courter faces a maximum sentence of 28 years in prison with parole available after seven years, and Trinidad faces a maximum of 33 years in prison, also with parole available after seven years.

Both defendants remain free on bail.

If there's any justice in this country anymore those lying pigs will go way for the full sentence and serve as a warning to the rest.

Should be interesting and be both "a teaching moment" as well as a defining moment for our nation.

Are all animals created equal, or are the pigs more equal than others?

I have a difficult time believing that had the original defendent or anyone else been charged with these things that they'd be out free on bail.

I could not agree more!

With modern education you often here the term "teaching to the test", watching the video it was bizarre hearing the catch phrases "stop resisting" and "let go of my gun". I believe it either shows malicious intent or they have been "trained to the camera". You do not get over the trauma inflicted by these POS's.
