I watched 6 minutes. The Britney Spears piece was revealing.

Still, folks pay an arm and a leg to attend some concerts. I don't get why.

I could only take 1:58 of the mess.

To me, today's pop music just sucks.

I'd pay good money to hear the Rolling Stones lip sync. Mick sounds terrible live.

I did attend a couple of professional wrestling events in my young adult days.

I knew it was fake. Really I did!

The following morning of one event, I had breakfast at Denny's, and the cashier asked the big guy in front of me for his autograph. I asked her who that guy was...Jake the Snake...with a looker blonde at his elbow. As I paid my bill and exited the restaurant I saw him and blondie in a fancy car lighting up a cig. He's still my hero.

When you have 5 free minutes, check it out; it's great IMO.

Well, there you are. I've always maintained that even the top rock acts stink in person. But I have always been as disgusted by the fuss about Milli Vanilli etc as I am revolted at the duo's existence.

On some early Beach Boys albums they're frauds as players -- studio musicians did the instrumental track, but so what? It was great music in its way. Pop has been artifice from way back. Mebbe 50 years ago Readers Digest published an article about how much snipping and splicing was involved in producing any pop record out there before the digital age (quite a lot). Tony Orlando never met Dawn till they made the top 10 or something like that.

Similarly, the suit against George Harrison over My Sweet Lord was a travesty. How many pop songs are copies of others? Tons.

I am extremely grateful for this link in any case -- Britney et al are frauds AS HUMAN BEINGS, and if exposure as lousy singers disaffects any fans, it's progress. To HELL with them all, all the mass entertainment judas goats!

Yep. I liked Milli Vanilli. I enjoy the music and couldn't care less about the personality or their politics.

I did not know that autotune technology was borrowed from geology. This explains why Randy Marsh (from South Park) who is a geologist by trade, is able to autotune himself to sound like Lorde.

I concur with the evaluation of the current "Pop" scene. Artists like St Vincent go unnoticed while we're bombed with articles and vids of the wrinkled Madonna and Beyonce, as if they're the only female pop singers alive. Lately I've been enamored by the S.Korean scene and although they have their own sets of problems, they are tightening up on lip synching. It was allowed for years due to intricate choreographies which is their style. It is being limited more and more on the live shows and the cream is rising to the top.....

"The government ruling us draws its authority not from the principles of the Declaration of Independence, or even from the delegate powers listed in the U.S. Constitution, but rather from the war to re-conquer the independent South. That conflict, usually referred to by the artfully misleading title “Civil War,” established the fact that the government in Washington is willing to kill Americans in whatever quantity it deems necessary in order to enforce its edicts, and then sanctify the slaughter in the name of some suitably “progressive” social objective.
