I know we have a lot of smart people here who are aware of many things that most other people are not aware of and do not understand.

it's as if they are completely naive and clueless children.

does anyone else ever feel like they are literally surrounded by half-wits and retards? those close to you (by choice, by circumstance, or by blood) who are brainwashed and 'don't get it', will never get it? just checking.

If only those 'THEY LIVE' sunglases were real, or if the Matrix red pill was real, we could force feed it to them. but alas, those are only movies. ;-(

their is a thing about those glasses and the pill. you cant force it... making someone take the red pill when their mind aint ready can damage them... meanwhile they still wear red coats. it is a.catch 22 ..... the best we can hope to do is our best in light of the.facts of the matter.

the propaganda matrix is flexing all the control it can muster and it has a great deal many of us. All we can do is continue to try and free the, from said matrix.

It's Official - Americans R Stoopid

http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2015-03-17/its-official-americans-r-stoopid

Given enough time, many scientists believe that humanity would eventually degenerate into a bunch of gibbering idiots incapable of rational thought.

Or could it be possible that a large segment of the population has already arrived at that state?

It's Official: Americans R Stoopid

As Americans, we tend to be pretty full of ourselves, and this is especially true of our young people. But do we really have reason for such pride? According to a shocking new report from the Educational Testing Service, Americans between the ages of 20 and 34 are way behind young adults in other industrialized nations when it comes to literacy, mathematics and technological proficiency. Even though more Americans than ever are going to college, we continue to fall farther and farther behind intellectually. So what does this say about us? Sadly, the truth is that Americans are stupid. Our education system is an abysmal failure, and our young people spend most of their free time staring at the television, their computers or their mobile devices. And until we are honest with ourselves about this, our intellectual decline is going to get even worse.

According to this new report from the Educational Testing Service, at this point American Millennials that have a four year college degree are essentially on the same intellectual level as young adults in Japan, Finland and the Netherlands that only have a high school degree…

Brother Carlin nailed it.

That should be further and further, not farther and farther. ;)

Kind of ironic when the article is about stupidity.

Of course and I no longer have time for them. My circle of friends can be counted on the fingers of both my hands and acquaintances are just that. They aren't friends. Over the years I've found most 'friends' to be a pain in the ass.

It's been said that if a person has three true friends in this life, they are blessed.

I believe it.

So true.

I've been blessed to still have childhood friends x 50+ years. Add to them my immediate family and a few ppl I've gotten to know thanks to this medium. I guess that puts me on the higher end of 'friendships' and for that I'm forever grateful.

"have you noticed how many people spell lose with two Os (loose) lately? wtf? "

That's probably the most frequent one.

Being retired, I read a LOT of novels. I was taught in grade school to in effect proof read everything I wrote, or read.

It's surprising how many 'spelling' errors show up still, even given the benefit of Spell-Check. They don't seem to grasp that 'Lose' and Loose' are both spelled correctly, but it's a matter of Context.

Our only hope is AI ! :-)

thanks, I never invested too much in trying to force people to see the big picture if they hadn't already, but I guess it finally dawned on me that they actually know literally nothing of how the world really works, and never will. Yet they still manage to function, and that is how they will die.

maybe then none of it really matters? just have picnics and watch the tube, get yer vacines and go to the mall.

Yeah, it's pretty amazing, particularly for those claiming that they get it but that only want to get it to a point but after that point they're no longer interested.

All that we can do is try to plant the seed; whether it takes hold, grows, and flourishes is not up to us.
