Phyllis Jefferson, Ohio Woman, Stabs Boyfriend for 'Eating All of the Salsa': Cops
An Ohio women allegedly stabbed her boyfriend multiple times Sunday after complaining that he had been "eating all of the salsa" they had been sharing, a police report said.
Police found Ronnie Buckner, 61, bleeding outside his Akron, Ohio, home around 4 p.m. local time Sunday. Phyllis Jefferson, 50, had stabbed him with a pen after she started yelling about his salsa intake, the report said.
She then tried to knock over his TV, and he had to catch it from falling, the police report said. As he watched TV, Jefferson retrieved a small kitchen knife and stabbed Buckner in the stomach, according to the report.
Jefferson fled the scene before police arrived but she was later apprehended on an interstate highway. After her arrest, Jefferson told detectives that she had stabbed her boyfriend because "she wanted to leave," according to the report. She has been charged with felonious assault and criminal damaging, police said.
Buckner was a rushed to a local medical facility. His injuries did not appear to be life-threatening, according to NBC affiliate WKYC.

Police say that, about 4 p.m. Sunday, officers responded to a stabbing in the 100 block of Lake Street. The victim Ronnie D. Bucker, 61, of Lake Street, reported he was eating chips and salsa with his girlfriend, Phyllis D. Jefferson, 50, when they got into an argument over who was eating all of the salsa.
