About the Author: Who is EJ Owens?

EJ Owens is a professional firearms trainer, author of CounterViolence, and consultant to the U.S. Dept. of Defense (classified).

He is the founder of Legally Concealed, an organization that supports and defends the 2nd Amendment and the developer of the Modern Warrior Certification Program, a live firearms and personal-protection training curriculum. He is a founding member of the Sheepdog Society, personal defense newsletter and firearms instructor for Tactical Home Defense and Everyday Carry video training courses.

Service To Country

EJ served 14 years in the U.S. Army and Army National Guard and was an enlisted medic and commissioned Infantry officer. He was selected for Executive Protection of various government officials during war time. He continues to serve the U.S. military in a classified role as small-arms trainer and consultant.

Service To Community

He served as a Firefighter/Paramedic for a major metropolitan fire department and was a Nationally Registered Emergency Medical Technician Paramedic (NREMT-P). He also served on the metropolitan medical strike team where he was trained in medical responses for nuclear, biological, and chemical incidents.
