The other day I read an article on the gossip columnist Liz Smith who just turned 90. She said she was with Shelley Winters in New York. Ms Winters went into stores and would grab 3 expensive items and head for the door without paying. The managers were too afraid to stop Winters who was a star. Liz Smith was shocked and wanted nothing to do with Shelley Winters after that. Smith was a lapsed Protestant. Winters was Jewish. Enough said. Post Comment Private Reply Ignore Thread
