Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton's anticipated weekend announcement of her bid for the White House in 2016 will kick off an aggressive fundraising push that could be record breaking.

According to the Daily Beast, Clinton will use her first week as a candidate to raise "an insane amount of money," one insider asserts.

"They are going to raise in one week what some Republican presidential candidates are going to raise the entire cycle," one Clinton aide told the Beast.

Ready for Hillary super PAC, which has already raised $15 million, will host what will likely be its final fundraiser in New York before her campaign kicks into operation drawing on the support of the 3.6 million people who have been engaged by the PAC, the Beast said.

Earlier reports also indicate that her campaign will attract an avalanche of financial support.

"The floodgates are going to open immediately, and there's going to be a rush to get on the team," Don Peebles, the real estate mogul who served on President [Barack] Obama's national finance committee, told The Hill in January.

"There's nobody in the Democratic Party who can match her. Not even close."

"It's going to be like nothing you've seen," another top Democratic donor, told The Hill.

"The numbers will be astounding."

According to the Beast, Clinton is expected to use her campaign website to drive some of her fundraising while also working with allied organizations such as EMILY's List.

The Clintons have been known as successful fundraisers but this will mark her first campaign since the Citizens United decision ushered in the era of Super PACs. As a sign of what may be in store, Texas GOP Sen. Ted Cruz raised $31 million within just days of announcing his candidacy.

The Washington Post reported that Clinton's campaign launch will likely be low key, perhaps through an announcement on social media or with a video followed by small one-on-one and small group meetings with voters.

She did something similar with that book she didn't write. Sales took off...with lots of help from her friends - not us peons.

I hope she makes 500 billion and it's all spent on a campaign that goes nowhere fast and stays there.

Do you folks think the witch has a chance? Is it forever going to be Dummacrats winning because RAPublicans keep putting up unthinkable rot like Romney and McCain?

Well, McCain is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, and an internationalist, just as Obummer. The CFR owned both horses in a two horse race.

Cynicom referred to Romney as ORomney, the other side of the coin from Obummer. ;)

Yeah, pretty much. As much as the Repubs hate her, they don't hate her nearly enough to run a candidate who actually has a chance of defeating her. And rather than doing a hail Mary and voting for a principled third party candidate or not voting as a protest, they will passionately try to convince everyone to support Jeb Bush or whatever trash candidate the GOP ptbs decide to shove down our throats. Or is it up our asses?

Maybe if she wins more people will wake up and realize elections are shams. If that happens then it might be the beginning of the end for the ruling class in America. Which is why she probably won't win, few would believe she won fairly.

As long as there are black-box voting machines, and an electorate dumb as rocks, yes, the witch has a real shot.

Yeah, they've been just stealing elections for years, great and small. I doubt the sheeple will ever "officially" realize it even though Republican voters virtually are for every presidential election. Dummacrat voters never will -- they don't have even the vestigial gray matter GOPers do. Not en masse.

So much for Roger Mason's prediction that she'd never run because she was dying from brain cancer.

Right! She's another one of whom dire health problems are alleged but she just goes on "normally" year after year, decade after decade.

Never heard about that one. Still, I wouldn't give her a plug nickel. ;)

It will be a miracle if she doesn't win as none of the GOP line up represents any real challenge to her. Not even Rancid Paul.
