I too lost my father when I was 9. My dad suffered badly too long of brain cancer. But I remember to this very day clearly as if it we only yesterday seeing my Dad on his knees praying to God and Jesus Christ with his Bible in front of him, with these words underlined in red:

"If you believe on Jesus Christ and that God rasied him from the dead, you will have eternal life and spend it with God, Jesus and fellow believers."

I have two fathers in Heaven now and I yearn to see them both very soon.

Jim, your father must BE a great dad because his son, you, are a wonderful, caring and kind man. I am sure the gift of truth that your dad gave you was a gift that was well given and well used by you - I see evidence every day in your posts and words of encouragement to me and others.

Because of my Dad, I vowed to raise a Godly son and spend all the time I could with him that my Dad did not get to spend with me. I have kept that vow and God has blessed me with a wonderful son who I named David, "beloved of God".

If you are a father Jim, I will bet you are a damn good dad. And even if you are not a father, I still can attest Jim that you are a damn good man and I am sure that is because of your father.

I look forward to seeing you, your dad and my dad with my son in Heaven someday soon. Jesus Christ's return in my opnion is imminent so we may not have to wait as long as others have had to in the past.

All Praise, Glory, Honor and Thanskgiving to God and His Son Jesus Christ for their loving kindness to us and our fathers, mothers and sons and daughters and wives.
