Lodwick I am so sorry, it's very painful when a parent dies because they are the ones who love us unconditionally.

My father died over ten years ago of cancer, and even though I knew he would die it still hurt a lot when he did, and I had lots of dreams of him for a few months after he died. It also felt like a part of me died with him.

A year after he died on the date he died I was with my boyfriend and we went shopping at Circuit City, but I broke down and cried in the store so we left. I didn't expect that to happen, but somehow that first year anniversary of his death made me feel terrible all over again.

I still think of him, and as he was a very bright person at times I wish he could answer questions for me but I guess that will have to wait. I believe that after we die we go to another dimension and see our loved ones again. I don't know if you know about NDEs, but there are many websites on that topic and it's very interesting, and can be comforting to look at after the death of a loved one. I've been very interested in near death experiences as I had a very strange thing happen when I was 13.

Just know he is in a better place, and most likely you will see him again. I look forward to seeing my father again.
