I had a good friend lose his father last year. He was pretty devastated, I can only imagine how you feel. On the other hand, at least you were lucky enough to know him, to have a relationship with him, and you parted on good terms.

Once I realized that he knew what was going on in the world, and I realized that he knew the same true stuff - things went great for us.

I am extremely grateful every day that my parents and I were able to end our 20 year estrangement and we are still finding our way to some sort of relationship. My worst fear was that someone would pass before that happened. Everyone makes mistakes and everyone does the best they can with what they know.
