The government has announced "WAR" against a significant number of the southern states, which I think happen to be against what the government has become along with opposition against its' immigration policy, yet everyone just goes along posting and replying like nothing has changed in fact like it's just another day.

Half the time I wonder about all of you on 4um and the other half of the time I'm sure

I blame you. We've grown numb to the constant paranoia posted by you and Ada and those types. Do people like you ever smile or laugh or do you spend your waking hours constantly looking over your shoulder?

What are you referring to? Is Washington at war against Dixie more than usual?

Is their announcing "WAR" against us a lot worse than if they had only announced WAR against us?

I can't speak to your end of it Ada as I haven't really noticed that from you, but I think what he's saying, and I agree, is that there are plenty of real threats to individual liberty, the destabilization of the economy, the trodding under foot of Christian morals and virtue, and of Christ in particular, etc., that these incessant posts citing obscure and not even fully verifiable things while calling others out for not doing what, I mean what are we going to do, grab a longarm and helmet and go screetching out our front doors down the street, to attack ... what, get old after a while.

Same for all the posts that put up a link with someone pitching a book, DVD, subscription or something else. If anyone watches those videos they'll blow 20 or 30 minutes, get nothing except scare tactics into why said monies should be expended on the product being offered with no verification whatsoever that it does what it says it will do.

A lot of Neo's post remind me of the backwards masking stuff in the '70s which I fell prey to. There's no need to go dig through the garbage cans of the establishment when their immoral deeds are all but squarely stated on their business shingle and when their reps wear it on their sleeves, often literally.

I cannot speak for everyone since some are retired, but time is a resource that is not unlimited nor can more be purchased. 2 hour videos on aliens taking over our government are a waste of time for most people.

Frankly, I view this place as an outlet in which to share common findings with those that have uncovered the same in their independent studies or for which to learn from each other or share the duties of posting interesting links and articles.

Most of the country is so enamored in their brand of personal politics that they'll never be convinced. It's shocking, stunning, how many people support in one form or another, the very things that they speak against. Small groups of resistance are not going to matter and there, unfortunately, are not enough people that understand the big overall picture to be a significant enough group.

This has also born itself out historically with those that understand also going down with the rest, Christian or not. In fact, Chuck Baldwin stated it in his recent piece on Pastors that someone posted by stating that he feels like Jeremiah and the other prophets. In fact, here's the excerpt;

And believe me, if some of the “good Christian” people who have written me the past three or four weeks had the legal power to do it, Chuck Baldwin would have already faced the same fate of the prophets of old. NO DOUBT ABOUT IT.

For one thing, when a man such as Jeremiah, Isaiah, Elijah, or Micaiah delivered a message, they were drowned out by the hundreds and thousands of the king’s prophets. In one way or another, these men were on the king’s dole. They received the king’s “faith-based initiative” monies. They were invited to the king’s banquets. They received the king’s tax exemptions. They were afforded the king’s perks and privileges.

Therefore, it was not surprising that when a Jeremiah or Micaiah brought a message of judgment upon the land, he was drowned out in a cacophony of public rebuke by the king’s prophets. God’s prophets almost always stood ALONE.

Either way, there are real fears, concerns, and reportable things and contrived ones. There are well more than enough real and verifiable ones that reduce the need for contrived ones to nil.

As with NeoconsNailed I too have not heard of any attacks on the Southern States beyond what's been going on since c. 1860.

Funny. I wasn't even thinking about that war. I was alluding to NeoconsNailed's recent denunciation of using quotation marks for emphasis.

I live in Tejas, one of the alleged target states of Jade Helm. I'll make sure to take pictures of yankee soldiers wilting in the oppressive heat and humidity this summer when the fun and games begin. They're supposed to be concentrated in East and Southeast Tejas, IIRC, that'll really make them miserable if they're in full uniforms and accoutrements.

Meanwhile, life goes on.......

Worthless but interesting information..

Many moons ago this Yankee bluebelly waandered down to Texas for flight crew training. One thing we were told was this. In an eleven man crew, the majority would be from PA, TX and CA. All selections were made at random.

Result, we had three from CA, three from PA, two from TX, the remaining three were furriners from OH, MI, IN.

I said it was worthless, but interesting.

Excellent observation.

Volunteers from NY were rare as hens teeth. Very few. At that time they were the most populace state.

Out of about 750 men, we had one black. Big city volunteers were rare.

Oddities of war.

I guess that a combination of patriotism and economics got the farm and small-town guys signing up.

After the war, my FIL went back to his little hometown in OH to check things out and decided to remain with the new USAF and made a thirty year career of it.

For most of us it was fear of the draft.

Infantry fighting in the mud and snow was a deterrent. One had to make a choice, draft for two years, or volunteer for four

Other countries, including China and Russia, are better at demonstrating against government corruption and injustice than we are. When a school collapses due to poor materials and labor, the Chinese get mighty testy.

As far as paranoia goes, "sometimes they are really out to get you". The most paranoid author I post is Paul Craig Roberts who has made a most interesting journey from corporate conservative to radical left wing. I figure he knows whereof he speaks from his closeness to the Wall Street Journal and his sojourn as assistant of the Treasury. He sometimes goes a bit over the edge but that's okay with me.

I haven't noticed it either, that's why I put it that way.

I couldn't classify PCR as left wing at all.

I don't like "left" and "right" titles because they've been reduced to mere general categories with purely political connotations anymore.

PCR to me falls into a libertarian realm.

Frankly, I don't like such titles at all as there is truth and lies/deception, but aligning oneself with with a title one automatically pens one into a general category of beliefs.

e.g., "libertarian to me suggests someone that's prone to self-rule and without need of anything more than an administrative government. But I know that's not everyone's definition.
