The procedure - which Canavero has admitted is just a first step towards his ultimate aim of creating immortality - will see a man's head removed and placed on a donor's body. That will see the man's head get cooled down - as it is when doctors operate on some parts of the brain - and switched onto the different body. And that it's a full success. What happens if he comes through healthily except he's permanently comatose or in permanent severe pain? Risks I'd never take in his sad position.
I personally would expect, assuming that it's a full biological success, there to be enormous physiological complications that would be a huge strain on the brain/consciousness of the head getting the new body, resulting in all sorts of emotional havoc.
