From the perspective of this Cheesehead I'd say they got off easy.

In this genre of bread and circuses the ball is the centerpiece of the event and should be held sacrosanct.

And with New England's recent track record of both verified and alleged cheating, a one year suspension for Brady and a one year banishment for owner Kroft would be more reasonable.

The sad part is how they have tainted the word Patriot.

Back in the day there was a rumor that Brett Favre used to have helium added in some of the balls to lighten them and increase the distance of his throws.

But that was never investigated.
