Advil vs Tylenol: Which One Is Better?

When it comes to treating pain, which is better: Advil or Tylenol?
Although many Americans may believe there is little difference between the over-the-counter analgesics, that is not the case, the Wall Street Journal reports.
The medications work best when taken for certain ailments, in part because they work differently in the body and can have different side effects.
For instance, Tylenol, or its generic version acetaminophen, might be your best bet for treating a headache, since it comes with fewer side effects.
But if you have a painful knee or elbow joint, you might want to reach for Advil active ingredient: ibuprofen because it eases inflammation better.
If youre trying to bring down a fever, either medication will work equally well.
