York Comprehensive senior Peyton Robinson was recently told by school officials that he could no longer fly his American flag in his pickup truck. On Thursday supporters rallied for Peyton and the US flag. Peyton Robinson said he got the bad news from a school administrator Wednesday morning. The 18-year-old senior at York Comprehensive High School was told he wasn’t allowed to fly his American flag and POW-MIA flag in the bed of his pickup truck. “He said, ‘We’re having some issues. Some people were complaining about the flags in your truck,’” Robinson told WBTV-TV. He said the administrator said the flags could “possibly” be offensive, and told Robinson to take them down before coming back to the South Carolina school Thursday. But apparently, Robinson didn’t have to lift a finger. He told WBTV that at some point Wednesday, a school official unscrewed the bolts securing the flags to his truck and laid them in the bed “when I wasn’t even there.” By the end of the school day, officials announced that flags such as Robinson’s are safety concerns. Superintendent Vernon Prosser told WSOC-TV the fear is that they could block the view of other drivers and cause a wreck. The senior — who has relatives who served in the military — was upset. ”I was pretty mad,” he told WBTV. “I don’t see how it’s a problem. Nobody has ever complained about it before.” Poster Comment: Who was offended? My first thought was La Raza, but this wasn't in California. Prolly some gay librarian.

Oh, they don't have to go into detail. "We're having some issues" = one child from Honduras said he didn't like it, and according to the madness of PC that's supposed to outweigh the 100000000s of people who would approve the flag. We told the everybody that if they allowed suppression of the Confederate flag on such stupid, contrived grounds they'd come for the amerikan flag next. Look for the establishment -- prostiticians, media, edjewcashun, Big Religion et al -- to rationalize THIS just like they did THAT. After the vexillological rape South Carolina's been through, it's ironic indeed this story should be based there. Poor young man. What they're really telling him is he's part of a purposely endangered species.

Actually, I find that flag somewhat offensive, but for totally different reasons....just imagine the outrage and wailing and gnashing of teeth if he had flown this flag:

I wonder if that school system ever made students recite the pledge of allegiance? And now the same students are being told that very object is offensive? Breach of something...

A former worshiper of the "American" flag, I find deeply offensive anymore - - about the same as I feel about this school's reaction to it. Oh -- the special, SPECIAL irony is that the edjewcrats are hating the kid's flying it from his pickup truck. Pickup trucks have been part of the formula wherever carpetbaggers and scalawags have made war on the Confederate flag around Dixie. I've even seen a comment or two on just the trucks as an emblem of southern backwardness without ref to the flag. Do these people know where food comes from? Liberals are actually at war against rural man period. They're contemptuous of anybody who's never been to a latte bar.
