Cardinal Timothy Dolan of the Archdiocese of New York recently openned an op-ed in which he wrote "the immigrant, especially Catholic Latinos, are scorned and rejected. Neither political party can claim success in dealing with them justly, and once again, they are being demonized in our society." ... Open borders, illegal aliens by the millions depleting infrastructure, finances and welfare rolls, and flagrant flaunting of the rule of law aren't good enough for the Cardinal of New York. I attended a U.S. citizenship ceremony recently and thousands of people were sworn in as citizens of the United States. They represented more than 50 countries of origin, and all were welcomed. Guess what? They followed the rules. None were scorned, rejected or demonized. What the Cardinal might be referring to is the fact that Americans are not happy with the undue influx of millions of illegal aliens and criminals from Mexico and South America in the last 20 years. If people shouldn't respect borders, fences or laws, why does the NY Archdiocese have locks on its doors and gates around its properties? Why do they have no trespassing signs? I guarantee I guarantee that go to any Catholic church in New York and you will see signs regulating tresspass and parking plastered all over their property. Violate these rules and they will call the police. . ...... While we're at it, I should point out that The official Catechism of the Catholic Church, Section 2241, states that immigrants are obliged to follow the laws of the country that receives them! Read it and weep, straight from the Vatican website!: ... http://www.vatican.va/archive/ccc_css/archive/ catechism/p3s2c2a4.htm 2241 The more prosperous nations are obliged, to the extent they are able, to welcome the foreigner in search of the security and the means of livelihood which he cannot find in his country of origin. Public authorities should see to it that .. . the natural right is respected that places a guest under the protection of those who receive him. Political authorities, for the sake of the common good for which they are responsible, may make the exercise of the right to immigrate subject to various juridical conditions, especially with regard to the immigrants' duties toward their country of adoption Immigrants are obliged to respect with gratitude the material and spiritual heritage of the country that receives them, to obey its laws and to assist in .. . carrying civic burdens. So why is what's good for the goose not good for the gander, Cardinal? Cardinal Dolan "only respecting what's his" is disingenuous and immoral. This pity party for criminal lawbreaker illegal aliens doesn't fly, nor is it in line with virtue. .... ..... Furthermore, at the same time that Cardinal Doilan is flaunting violations of the law, he adulates corrupt police and smears what he calls the "shrill but tiny minority" whom "might try to malign" the 'heroic' police. I wrote a letter to cardinal Dolan in January, which his secretary acknowledged receiving. The letter outlined the facts of the widespread corruption of New York police, which is also acknowledged by New York State prosecutors themselves. Poster Comment: Another thing Dolan did which I addressed in my letter to Dolan involved victims of the pervert priest scandal. On August 4, 2011, Dolan posted 'Gratitude to the Catholic League' in which he wrote, "My thanks to Bill Donohue and the Catholic League for the following press release issued last week." Donohue had written, in part, "If this isn't surreal enough, consider that the phony victims' group, SNAP, is accusing New York Archbishop Timothy Dolan of covering up the alleged misconduct, even though Dolan knew nothing about it. He continues "According to SNAP's press release today, these cases also show the Church's tolerance of pedophilia. But neither of the two cases involved pedophilia: in both instances, the alleged victims were teenagers. The name of the game is to paint priests as child abusers, which is a bold-face lie. It's time the media turned its cameras on the liars at SNAP." ... First of all that is extremely outrageous thing to say. ... Regarding the claims about SNAP; Four years later Dolan still on his Archdiocese website have an article written by a vitriolic right-wing blowhard "Bill Donohue" who claims SNAP is a phony victims group. Donahue always blames the victims of pervert priests, insinuating that the victims make it up for money. ... So, the Archdiocese of NY re-posts Donohue's blog stating that SNAP is "a phony victims group." Let's look at just two members of SNAP. Mary Grant was raped by Catholic priest John Lenihan when she was a teenager- the satanic pervert admitted the rape after Grant confronted him on it while police had a wiretap running. Was the rape phony? is Mary Grant phony? No, ... No, unfortunately it was all too real. Manny Vega, a decorated police detective from Oxnard, CA and former Marine who received the Navy and Marine Corps Medal of heroism for pulling people out of a burning helicopter in South Korea, is a member of SNAP. He was sexually abused by a priest as an altar boy in Los Angeles and is one of the very rare victims that still practices Catholicism. Is Vega a member of a "phony victims group"? What an outrage to even dare make such a claim. How many of these poor victims lose their souls after they abandon their faith because of this monstrosity? America welcomes foreigners in applicable need of security with Refugee status and those who want to be visiting guests or guest workers with applicable Visas. Illegal aliens aren't synonymous with foreigners who've lawfully entered. Many might prefer to live at Vatican City instead of here, if they were sanctuarially invited by the governing authorities there. As it is, much of America's business entities of livelihood moved south of our border and elsewhere with the passage of NAFTA and so on. But Mexican illegal aliens, for instance, apparently didn't think it was enough for the citizenry of that country to take all of those jobs from us, so they're covertly tasking to take the remainder of what few jobs were still around in the United States for the livelihood and sustenance of Americans. ------- "They're on our left, they're on our right, they're in front of us, they're behind us...they can't get away this time." -- Col.
