Its like the so called self driving big rig made by mercedes. They showcased its release recently in vegas but explained very clearly as they always have, that the enhanced vehicle has never been intended, nor will ever be, operational without a driver.

This is an example how hysterical people twist headlines & misrepresent the story to be sensational. There will never be driverless 18 wheelers delivering freight.

As if that wouldn't happen a million times anyway. Shit, people "forget" to look out the windshield these days.

As Artisan said, also applies to cars, maybe more so. IMO it's a disaster in waiting. Either that or road travel will slow to half (or less) of its current pace, which is not sustainable either for reasons that simple queueing theory models would demonstrate.
