Title: PATRIOT Act to expire? Maybe Not.

As everyone knows, the despicable PATRIOT Act is set to expire at midnight. It is my belief that they (TPTB) will not allow it to expire. Having wielded this control mechanism for well over a decade now, I don't see how they can let it end now.

So-called sneak-and-peek warrants have been used in some cases in which surveillance of journalists, activists and even Supreme Court justices was initiated for manifestly unlawful political purposes.

It has been used in non-terrorism cases such as a Las Vegas strip club corruption probe, used to harass Bev Harris and the BlackBoxVoting.org website, and even used against a toy company selling an illegal copy of the Rubik's Cube

It also nationalized library records; created severe federal penalties for non-violent, white-collar crimes of insufficient disclosure concerning money transfers; vastly pumped up border security; increased the jurisdiction of the Selective Service; and empowered the FBI and other federal officials to use “national security letters” to subpoena information from private actors without anything approaching probable cause and in conjunction with gag orders that prevent the recipients of such letters to tell their attorneys, families, or anyone else that they received them.

Further, it redefined “terrorism” to include crimes that previously were never considered to be terrorism; significantly eroded the Fourth Amendment; and did a number of other things to accelerate the central state’s powers and police activities in the name of fighting terrorism.

The fact is that even the FBI admits that no major (terrorism) cases were cracked with Patriot Act snooping powers

Other agencies are reaping the "benefits" of the PATRIOT Act, most notably the DEA in the "war on drugs". Wasn't The PATRIOT Act Supposed To Be About Stopping Terrorism? We were told that the Act was to be used to stop "terrorism", yet it has been overwhelmingly used instead for other domestic crimes.

I realize I'm preaching to the choir here, but my point is this : once these powers have been amassed, those who wield this power will be reluctant to let it go - that's the nature of tyranny.

I've been mulling this over for a while and have come to the conclusion that the PATRIOT Act will not be allowed to expire. Call it a hunch, but after seeing what these bastards are capable of, it is possible that sometime today we will see an event transpire that will be serious enough that our benevolent leaders will unanimously vote to extend and expand the scope of the PATRIOT Act indefinitely. After all, it's for our safety.

Call me a kook, conspiracy theorist, whatever - but I am fairly certain that a false flag op is in the works as I write this.

I hope I'm wrong.

Good break-down.

Like you, I put nothing past the deecee scum.

“The most dangerous man to any government is the man who is able to think things out... without regard to the prevailing superstitions and taboos. Almost inevitably he comes to the conclusion that the government he lives under is dishonest, insane, intolerable.” ~ H. L. Mencken
