Caught On Tape: Cop Pulls Gun On 2 Kids, Unleashes Profanity-Laden Tirade In Affluent Suburb
Submitted by Simon Black via SovereignMan.com,
Ill be up front with you and say that this video is disturbing.
Its like a bucket of ice-cold water thrown in the face of the dream world that most people are walking through.
Watching riots on TV in places like Baltimore and Ferguson, its easy to think, That couldnt happen here. All that police violence only happens in poor communities.
Guess again.
This weekend it was the safe, quiet suburb of McKinney, Texas, about 30 minutes outside of Dallas.
McKinney is no gang-infested slum; its an affluent bedroom community with an average household income over $96,000 according to Colliers International.
(Having grown up just a few miles away, I would add that its pretty sterile too, full of big-box retailers, megaplex cinemas, and chain restaurants.)
Over the weekend some local kids were having a summer pool party to celebrate a friends birthday.
With that many adolescents crammed together in one place, there was undoubtedly some silly teenage drama going on. And police were called to the scene.
One of them starts off almost immediately screaming profanity-laden tirades at the kids, many as young as 14.
This courageous officers advice to young people included such gems as Sit your asses down, and Dont make me fuckin run around with 30 pounds of goddamn gear on. . .
At one point throws a girl to the ground who had apparently failed to get her ass out of here with appropriate alacrity.
You can see him grab her neck and attempt to shove her face into the pavement.
The kids all start screaming. Two of them rush over to try and help their classmate, at which point Captain America pulls his gun out and advances menacingly towards them.
They bolt. So he turns his attention back to the girl, grabs her head once again, and screams ON YOUR FACE!!! as he pins her down on the ground and puts her in handcuffs.
Its really disturbing to watch.
Had it been a parent trying to grind his kids face into the pavement, Child Protective Services would have immediately removed the girl from the home and the father would be rotting in jail this very moment.
But when a police officer does it, he goes on leave. And only when hes unlucky enough to be caught on camera.
If some random stranger grabbed your child and started attacking her, youd instantly turn into Bruce Lee and put the guy in a Kung-Fu death grip.
But when a police officer attacks your child, the government expects you to just stand around and watch.
Thats one of the most disturbing things from the video.
Youll see there are a bunch of adults in the video milling around with their hands in their pockets while the kids get abused.
I appreciate theyre doing whatever they feel like they can do to make the best of a bad situation.
But theyve been indoctrinated for so long that their reaction is to be obedient and submissive. They dont interfere with the law. They know their place and they act like it.
The kids, on the other hand, are all still young enough that they havent totally subordinated themselves to the state. Theres still a part of them thats free.
So when the cops get totally out of control, their instinct is to fight back.
That is, after all, our natural instinct to be free.
We have to -learn- to be intimidated and subservient to the state. We have to learn to stand around with our hands in our pockets while our children are abused. And that learning takes place in none other than the public school system.
I checked the McKinney Independent School Districts website and found that these kids all recite the Pledge of Allegiance in the morning, including that part about liberty and justice for all.
They sing songs gushing about freedom in America. But they just got a taste of how free they really are.
Hopefully that lesson stays with them. Its certainly more powerful that an entire semester of the mandatory civics class they have to take.
After watching the video I actually downloaded a copy of the staple civics textbook Magruders American Government, and found a rather prescient passage in the first chapter:
This nation was founded by those who loved liberty and prized it above all earthly possessions.
True statement. But that instinctive flame to be free has gone out for so many people, not only in America but across the world.
And no nation can rise again until that flame is rekindled.
The textbook continues:
To preserve and protect [their rights and liberty], each generation must learn and understand them anew, and be willing to stand up for them when necessary.
Thanks, I've only driven those roads since '65 and completely forgot about Central Expressway etc.
Don't get olde.

Cornell William Brooks, NAACP president and CEO, released the following statement on the incident:
I am deeply disturbed by the McKinney Police Departments treatment of these African American teenagers. The excessive force on an unarmed 14-year-old girl clad only in a bikini by an officer wearing a uniform and a gun, was particularly troubling.
"These teens appeared to be simply attending a pool party and deserved respectful treatment under the law. We are calling for a full investigation of the McKinney Police Department officers and that they be held accountable to the full extent of the law. We also join the community in wrapping our arms around these young people as they heal from the physical and mental scars this incident may have caused.

Evidently this has hit a very raw nerve with White people in McKinney: they're pushing back hard against WFAA/KDFW/Dallas Morning news. The DFW news media thought that White people would roll over on this but it's blowing up in their collective faces and they are confused.

Has that impacted Dallas as bad as Houston?
Glad you folks finally got some rain ;>)

"There was no racism, police brutality, it was idiotic teens doing idiotic things and thiking they didn't need to suffer any consequences. Now our beautiful neighborhood and neighbors feel like someone came and pooped all over our lives."
At around 7:15 p.m. June 5, police responded to a disturbance at the Craig Ranch North Community Pool. The initial call came in as a disturbance involving multiple juveniles at the location who do not live in the area or have permission to be there, and who were refusing to leave.
Police received several additional calls related to the incident advising that juveniles were fighting, according to police.
Upon arrival, officers encountered a large crowd that police say refused to comply with their commands. Nine additional officers responded to the scene, and police were eventually able to gain control of the situation, said Officer Sabrina Boston, McKinney PD spokeswoman.
But not before at least one officer, Cpl. Eric Casebolt, was clearly angered. A teenager at the scene recorded a video that shows Casebolt expressing his ire with profanity, mad that the teens were making him run around "in the sun because you want to screw around."
What really caught viewers' attention, though, was Casebolt using force to get a girl to the ground. Casebolt is shown throwing around the girl, 15-year-old Dajerria Becton, and pushing her face into the ground. He shoves others who come near, and when two men surround him on the other side, seemingly to come to the girls aid, Casebolt pulls out his gun and points it at them.
This video has raised concerns that are being investigated by the McKinney Police Department, Boston said in a news release. At this time, one of the responding officers [Casebolt] has been placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of this investigation.
The video went viral, with local and national news outlets picking it up. Over 4.3 million people had viewed it on YouTube by Monday morning.
McKinney Mayor Brian Loughmiller said in a released statement that he was disturbed and concerned by the video and that he and the City Council expect the police department to act professionally and with appropriate restraint relative to the situation they are faced with.
After the incident went viral, many took to social media to vent their frustrations, either with the police officers actions or with the negative attention the case was getting.
Michael Cory Quattrin, who says he lives in the Craig Ranch neighborhood where the party was held, said in a Facebook post that a DJ had set up at the pool and blasted explicit music, then invited others to the pool party via Twitter for $15.
The teens began fighting with each other and pushing their way into our private pool. Some were jumping our fence, the post reads. The security guard was accosted when he tried to stop the beginnings of this mob scene.
Quattrin went on to say that the video is only a very small segment of what happened and that reports are painting the neighborhood as a whites only, racist area.
Anyone who has spent even a few minutes in our area knows this is an outright lie, he stated.
Other videos have surfaced showing at least one fight between two girls outside the pool, with neighbors breaking it up, before police arrived.
Benet Embry, who's black, posted on his Facebook account: "Look, I LIVE in this community and this ENTIRE incident is NOT racial at all. A few THUGS spoiled a COMMUNITY event by fighting, jumping over fences into a PRIVATE pool, harassing and damaging property. Not EVERYTHING is about RACE. WE have other issues that NEED our attention other flights of made up make believe causes."
Yet, plenty think Casebolt handled the situation with unwarranted force and intimidation. One person even posted Casebolts address online as an urge for retaliation against the officer.
Many are calling for the immediate firing of Casebolt and his permanent removal from the police department. R.G. Osborne told the McKinney Courier-Gazette there are plenty who are "prepared to demonstrate in solidarity for the rights of the children who were abused and humiliated by Officer Eric Casebolt."
"Racism cannot be tolerated anywhere, but most especially it cannot be tolerated when practiced by the very people whose sworn (and, I might add, taxpayer paid) duty is to protect the safety of all citizens, not just those whose color they find personally acceptable," Osborne wrote in an email.
McKinney Police Chief Greg Conley, who just recently took over as head of the department, said Sunday that an internal affairs investigation is being conducted.
State and national NAACP leadership plans to meet with Conley on Monday and demand a thorough investigation led by an independent police agency, according to a release.
Cornell William Brooks, NAACP president and CEO, released the following statement on the incident:

No. Of course, White people avoid Dallas blacks at every turn, we know better without "visiting the zoo" that the "cages" don't contain the animals very well. Sounds brutal, but there it is.

Civil rights activists, local pastors and family members spoke out against what they deem racist and unprofessional behavior by McKinney Police Cpl. Eric Casebolt, whose seemingly excessive force while responding to a Friday pool party went viral over the weekend.
As state and national NAACP leaders met with Police Chief Greg Conley inside the McKinney Public Safety building, a press conference was held right outside its doors Monday afternoon. Those who spoke called for the immediate firing of Casebolt, whos been placed on administrative leave pending an internal affairs investigation into Fridays incident.
Jahi Adissa Bakari, father to a teenage girl struck by Casebolt as he was trying to hold down teen Dajerria Becton, the focus of the incident, said he was disappointed that McKinney PD didnt have any female or black officers respond to the party. Though he saw [officers] doing the right thing, he said Casebolt was out of control and should be drug tested, then fired.
He pulled the gun out on teenagers, he said. I thought it was over at that point.
Another parent, Maurice Gray, whose wife and five children were at the party, said there was no sex or weed there as has been reported, according to his wife. I really was afraid of what I saw on the video, he said.
David Lee, a Christian author, spoke most passionately in front of media. Appalling and unacceptable were how he described Casebolts actions, largely because they were directed at and in the presence of children, he said.
We have a rogue officer on our hands, said Lee, a former McKinney resident. He has to go.
But others urged people to allow due process and a full investigation before making swift judgments. Derrick Golden, pastor at Amazing Church, said, McKinney is on watch we believe were going to get the right, righteous resolve. Bruce Miller, Christ Fellowship pastor and the lone white speaker at the press conference, said pastors have been praying and communicating standing together against racism calling out city to justice, to peace and to love.
Activists are calling for all charges against teens at the party to be dropped, and for Casebolt and any other officer who assaulted these minors to be fired and criminally charged.

As you saw on the news, Houston got hammered with rain also; epic rainfall.

Civil rights activists, local pastors and family members spoke out against what they deem racist and unprofessional behavior by McKinney Police Cpl. Eric Casebolt, whose seemingly excessive force while responding to a Friday pool party went viral over the weekend.
Days after a dramatic video surfaced of a Texas police officer pulling a gun and screaming at young people at a community pool, the teenage girl he forced to the ground has spoken out. So have local residents who back the police.
The officer who briefly pulled a gun and then held the teenager on the ground at one point by kneeling on her back has been identified as Cpl. Eric Casebolt. He has been put on leave, but the video record of him shouting profanities and ordering swimsuit-clad youths to get on the ground has renewed a broader conversation over the proper use of police force and the dynamics of race in America.
The teenage girl who was pushed to the ground and briefly detained is black; Casebolt is white. Many critics of the police action at the Craig Ranch North Community Pool say that black teens at the outdoor party were targeted.
"Everything could've been solved way better than what it was," says Tatiana Rhodes, 19, who tells local TV news WFAA that she organized the party along with her mother and sister. "I mean, there were other officers that were actually nice to people."
Rhodes and her sister, 15, say that they can't stop thinking about the incident; her sister calls it "horrific."
ADVISORY: This video contains profanity and violence.
McKinney's police department says it took at least 10 units to calm the scene at the Craig Ranch North Community Pool, and that the first officers arrived around 7:15 p.m. local time Friday. They were answering residents' concerns about "multiple juveniles at the location, who do not live in the area or have permission to be there, refusing to leave," the department said Sunday.
The teenager, whose age was initially reported as 14 and has since been listed as 15, spoke to local Fox 4 News, saying of the officer who grabbed her, "He told me to keep walking, and I kept walking. And then, I'm guessing he thought we were saying rude stuff to him."
She described how her arm had been twisted around her back, how her hair had been pulled and how her back hurt. She added, "Him getting fired is not enough."
But some homeowners who live near the pool have backed the police in the matter. Fox 4 reports that someone put up a sign at the pool Sunday thanking the officers for their work. The station also spoke to a woman who didn't want to be identified on camera.
"They were just doing the right thing when these kids were fleeing and using profanity and threatening security guards," the white resident says of the police.
On Sunday, McKinney Police Chief Greg Conley said:
"A formal investigation into the incident has been started, and the officer involved has been placed on administrative leave, pending the outcome of the investigation.
"The McKinney Police Department is committed to treating all persons fairly under the law. We are committed to preserving the peace and safety of our community for all of our citizens."
At a news conference Sunday, Conley refused to discuss what one questioner called a history of racial tension in McKinney.
"McKinney attracted national attention in 2004 after the Police Department's tactics were called into question by the U.S. Department of Justice. Racial tensions between police and residents in an east-side neighborhood escalated following four execution-style slayings earlier in the year.
"About 75 percent of McKinney residents are white, and about 10 percent are black, according to 2010 census data."
Local radio show host Benét Embry, who is black and lives in McKinney, tells the Morning News that the community "is not a racist neighborhood" and that it's "unfortunate that an event like this brings the spotlight."
Embry also says that police who responded to calls of a disturbance at the pool did their best to restore order and that a small number of kids were "acting the fool."
Another view comes from Michael Corey Quattrin, who wrote a post on Facebook that has been shared tens of thousands of times since it was posted Sunday night. Quattrin, who says he lives in the neighborhood, believes the incident is being misrepresented.
Quattrin says that both black and white teenagers from outside the neighborhood were drawn to the party by tweets, and that led to a scene that prompted residents to call police.
"The teens began fighting with each other and pushing their way into our private pool," he says. "Some were jumping our fence. The security guard was accosted when he tried to stop the beginnings of this mob scene."
The McKinney Police Department has been slow to provide details about Casebolt, and a LinkedIn profile in his name has been deleted. According to the Morning News, before it was removed, Casebolt's profile described him as a Navy veteran and former highway patrolman who joined the McKinney police force in the summer of 2005.

Quattrin did a terrific job of reporting, but it's to no avail. This is a perfect opportunity for darks to advance their agenda, and they will thx to ignorance & white guilt.
It just struck me that whenever you are having a Pool-Party, and have a need for security officers, something is way, way wrong somewhere.

If I got caught up in a swirling crowd of chimping 'groids I damn sure would have my pistol out and be trying to back away from it all, I'm no fool and I like living. Cop had more balls than I would to wade into that mess.
If I lived in Craig Ranch I'd be super-pissed that those little thugs made their way into my neighborhood. The people who live there are PAYING to be in a rarified atmosphere.

The Alpha chimp gets in the wind when the cop's gun comes out, so the desired result was achieved w/o undue violence. Of course some people would prefer a cop never unholster his gun but they have never been chimped.
