Family members, civil rights activists speak out against McKinney police officer

Civil rights activists, local pastors and family members spoke out against what they deem racist and unprofessional behavior by McKinney Police Cpl. Eric Casebolt, whose seemingly excessive force while responding to a Friday pool party went viral over the weekend.

As state and national NAACP leaders met with Police Chief Greg Conley inside the McKinney Public Safety building, a press conference was held right outside its doors Monday afternoon. Those who spoke called for the immediate firing of Casebolt, who’s been placed on administrative leave pending an internal affairs investigation into Friday’s incident.

Jahi Adissa Bakari, father to a teenage girl struck by Casebolt as he was trying to hold down teen Dajerria Becton, the focus of the incident, said he was disappointed that McKinney PD didn’t have any female or black officers respond to the party. Though he “saw [officers] doing the right thing,” he said Casebolt “was out of control” and should be drug tested, then fired.

“He pulled the gun out on teenagers,” he said. “I thought it was over at that point.”

Another parent, Maurice Gray, whose wife and five children were at the party, said there was no sex or weed there as has been reported, according to his wife. “I really was afraid of what I saw on the video,” he said.

David Lee, a Christian author, spoke most passionately in front of media. “Appalling” and “unacceptable” were how he described Casebolt’s actions, largely because they were directed at and in the presence of children, he said.

“We have a rogue officer on our hands,” said Lee, a former McKinney resident. “He has to go.”

But others urged people to allow due process and a full investigation before making swift judgments. Derrick Golden, pastor at Amazing church, said, “McKinney is on watch … we believe we’re going to get the right, righteous resolve.” Bruce Miller, Christ Fellowship pastor and the lone white speaker at the press conference, said pastors have been praying and communicating – “standing together against racism … calling out city to justice, to peace and to love.”

Activists are calling for all charges against teens at the party to be dropped, and for Casebolt and any other officer who “assaulted these minors” to be fired and criminally charged.

Socialists consider Texas as one of their last great TARGETS.

Waco was a freak show with the bikers. Many innocents hurt in that one, with excess police force being heavily questioned.

It hasn't hit Drudge or MSM yet, but will tonight.

Fly in the lawyers, or use local ones out of Dallas?

It'll be hard for White people to organize resistance, especially since White people don't have kosher organizers in the background (NAACP/NAN/etc.).

It's not important now, the story has been anchored into the minds of the sheeple by the MSM. Personally I think they're choosing the wrong state to pull this shit, but it's their move :)

Spot on.

“I really was afraid of what I saw on the video,” he said.

People all around the nation should be damned afraid.

If most people didn't waste their time brainlessly watching TV "news" then perhaps they'd know that this shit is more the rule than it is the exception and start getting damned pissed off over it.

That swine of an LEO represents tens of thousands just like him, paranoid psychopaths that read and hear far too much of their own press clippings on what "heroes" they are when they serve the oppressors, not the oppressed!

I can just see a nutjob like that with a malfunctioning brain trying to work a customer service job somewhere. That would last a few days.

Honestly, when are people going to throw down the gauntlet. I'm just glad I'm not around those things, I think I'd have a very difficult time from restraining myself from obliterating what little grey matter is in the skull of someone like that. It would certainly take all the grace that God could possibly muster for me.

L.E. let it get away from them, IMO.

This was not an exception, it's the rule across the nation.

Swine cops swearing up a storm, telling people that they (illegally) have to do "whatever they say," (really, what if he tells someone to give him a blowjob), beating, tazing, shooting without cause, arbitrarily shooting pets, mostly dogs senselessly and barbarically, and being so fucking stupid that they can't even read simple numbers on a house as they raid the wrong damn house with like 30 swine apparently none of whom can read numbers, and permanently emotionally scar completely innocent people.

This is exactly what happens when the worst and dimmest, not to mention the least ethical and most immoral, get badges, guns, and the authority to use them without restraint.

Meanwhile the other "good ones" just sit there and don't say shit. Apparently "If you see something, say something" and "Not saying 'no' is just like saying 'yes'" don't apply to those that work for and support the establishment.

You're right. I'm still waiting for people to react violently in a situation like this. If that had been a different "clientele" then I suspect it would have been. Those few cops could very well looked like Il Duce once the throngs got a hold of him.

If this shit continues, at some point people are going to take this a little more seriously than letting some fucked up PD put a swine on admin leave.

I'm tellin' ya now, if it ever happens to me, I'll get the name of the person in charge and hold my own court. It may cost me the ultimate sacrifice, but I'm perfectly willing to make it.

These people are clueless and have their heads so far up the ass of network news that they appear to be beyond help.

This is epidemic, not an isolated incident.

Listen. I understand where you're coming from. I really do. Reality is there are many corrupt cops.

I supervised a trucking dispatch hub for awhile (got out as soon as I could), and we had truckers from all over the country reporting police abuse.

I'll never forget a female trucker calling in from the Bronx crying her eyes out telling us that two Bronx PC just pulled her over and tried to rape her.

As I said, the L.E. responding to this were dumb as nails, and IMO do not reflect in their actions (several of them) how they were trained to respond.

Yes, it does look like Blacks were being targeted.

I'm with you completely on unlawful police conduct - totally unacceptable.

Let's calm down and examine the extenuating circumstances that led up to this, which are not on film, or at least not released publicly in case any of the L.E. had the prescence of mind to record it.

Again, NOT excusing dumb as bricks L.E. or those that can't remember their training. Intentionally or otherwise.

It's tough to calm down when we see videos, multiples, of this shit daily. Constantly read about the cops behaving like pirates on interstates, shooting dogs, killing people in wrong door knocks because they're too fucking stupid, apparently, to be able to read a damn house number properly and accurately, not to mention going psycho when any normal person would not, then things like Baltimore where they all stand around in their "hero" status and let good law abiding restaurant diners have their lives threatened as they "let the perps vent," etc.

My own personal experiences tell me that most cops have mental issues. If you see it differently I don't know what to tell you. For damn sure most have a below average IQ. They're not bright and few that I've known seem mentally stable as human beings. Most seem to think that the world is out to get them. That's hardly a sane and reasonable mindset.

I agree, reflecting on 'cause and effect.'

CAUSE: BREAKDOWN OF NUCLEAR FAMILY AS CORE OF SOCIETY (Man/Woman/Children/Generational Values)

EFFECT: COMPLETE DISRESPECT FOR PROPERTY, PERSONAL RIGHTS, PERSONAL SAFETY, PERSONAL SECURITY, PERSONAL SELF-REALIZATION AND FULLFILLMENT

Have you ever studied Maslow's hierarchy of needs?

It has never been disproven.

Agree, we didn't see the premath, only the aftermath, but it didn't seem to be a chimpout or a knockout game going on there; just a bunch of kids.

Who knows why nine squad cars ended up there?

Agreed.

That however is no reason to calm down. And when I say calm down, I mean discussion. Obviously no civil person is going to get violent over this stuff. My point before was that I hope it never happens to someone in my family, because then it becomes personal.

Still, wondering how much more of this people being pushed to the limits in many ways are going to put up with. It's a historical fact that everyone has limits. At some point if it gets to the choice of being pushed around as a slave or fighting back, most people have a point of reaction. It should be, IMO, the second that morality is on the line. No one seems to have any anymore though, it's been perverted and watered-down.

The point being that Blacks (in general, and I hate generalizations) have extremely low self-actualization and self-esteem.

The few good Black men of integrity who live to reverse this phenomenon are discredited and demonized by the other nationally recognized 'Black Leaders' (J.Jackson, Al Sharpton, Louis Farrakhan come to mind).

Until 'Blacks' finally, and eventually recognize their inner culture is their own worst enemy by following such examples, the obstacles and hurdles of being stigmatized by Whites will continue.

77% of black children are born out of wedlock, revealing the terrible truth that Black men have abandoned their responsibilities for their families and children.

I have no solution, other than it is time for Black men to rebel against their own 'leaders.'
