Should Celebrity’s Gun Photo Get Her Arrested?
If you’re over the age of 20 you’ve probably never heard of “Lil Bit” before.
Most of the nation hadn’t until the TV reality star posted a picture of her husband and young baby to Facebook.
In the picture the MTV star’s her husband has passed out asleep next to their infant daughter.
The reason the picture stirred so much controversy?
There was a gun on the nightstand.

The picture made some people steaming hot, with them saying the reality star was putting their child in danger.
The gun’s safety was engaged, and the child who is less than a month old, couldn’t have possibly mustered the strength to get out of its carrier, much less squeeze the trigger.
However, the law in North Carolina states it is a misdemeanor offense in North Carolina “to leave a gun in the open where a child could easily get to it.”
When confronted on the gun being there she commented back.
“By God I will unload on somebody if they break in and try to hurt me or my family…Someone breaks in, I’m killin’ ’em.”
Fair enough. That’s exactly what guns are for.
Gun haters obviously didn’t care about her justification and wanted her arrested. They just wanted another reason to feel justified in yet another unfounded attack on a law abiding gun owner.

This is, of course, pure insanity. It is the responsibility of the adult to keep the child in safety. Obviously, the baby is too young to be able to muster the strength to get out of its crib, much less pull the trigger on the pistol.
