Donald Trump says the fatal shooting of a woman in San Francisco is proof that he’s right in saying violent criminals are entering the U.S. from Mexico.

Don’t say Donald Trump didn’t warn you about Mexican immigrants, says... Donald Trump.

The Republican presidential hopeful on Friday latched onto the fatal shooting of a woman in San Francisco as proof that he’s right in saying violent criminals are entering the U.S. from the south and must be stopped.

“This senseless and totally preventable act of violence committed by an illegal immigrant is yet another example of why we must secure our border immediately,” Trump said in the wake of news reports that Francisco Sanchez, the man accused of murdering 32-year-old Kathryn Steinle on a pier in San Francisco, is a career criminal who had previously been deported to Mexico five times.

Later, he tweeted: “Where are the other candidates now that this tragic murder has taken place b/c of our unsafe border,” adding: “We need a wall.”

Sanchez should have been turned over to immigration authorities, not released, after being jailed four months ago for selling pot, officials said.

“This is an absolutely disgraceful situation and I am the only one that can fix it,” Trump said in his campaign statement.

“Nobody else has the guts to even talk about it. That won’t happen if I become President.”

Trump has lost a number of business deals and fielded accusations of bigotry — but has also enjoyed considerable success in polls of the 2016 GOP pack — since saying Mexico isn’t “sending its best” to the United States.

“They’re sending people that have lots of problems, and they’re bringing those problems with us,” Trump said in his June kickoff speech.

“They’re bringing drugs. They’re bringing crime. They’re rapists. And some, I assume, are good people.”

Trump's plain, honest speech should win him lots of supporters.

No platitudes, just the facts.

So far THEY seem to have bit into the wrong ass. If he continues on (and that is a big if), he could totally fracture the Republican party leaving behind a remnant that is unified regarding illegals. That would have potential.

Putting forward establishment candidates, which dampens voter turn out, doesn't indicate a split, IMO. Where Trump differs, and where the split could occur, is that his illegal immigration issue is causing a split among the current field of candidates, with him (and Cruz tacitly) agreeing on the severity of the problem.

Conservatives, GOP Split on Illegal Workers (FoxNews)

We've been raped so many times, there is nothing left to rape.

The USSC's sodomy decision will throw an ice-cold blanket of apathy on any 'conservative' unity left with the strong possibility that voters who would otherwise vote against HILLARY CLINTON now realize 'the system' will never be fixed.

President Bush and his open-border cheap labor policies have managed quite well to split the GOP wide open. Expect wide rebellion in the GOP ranks in 2006 and 2008.

(Note how the Libertarians have finally found something they can agree with President Bush and the OBL on: GUEST WORKERS.)

Poll: Americans disapprove of all political parties

Both major political parties and the Tea Party movement are viewed unfavorably, according to a Mar. 24 poll conducted by the Associated Press and GfK Public Affairs and Corporate Communications.

The growing disenchantment with the American people and their legislators see the Democratic Party as least unfavorable with a 54-43 disapproval-approval rating. The Republican Party did not fare much worse, with a 60-38 disapproval rating.

The Tea Party showed the most unfavorable rating with 66-31 percent of respondents disapproving.

However, despite the pessimistic mood of respondents, when asked “which party you would rather see win control of Congress,” Republicans and Democrats were nearly evenly split with 37 percent favoring Republicans and 36 percent for Democrats.

More than one-quarter of respondents said it “doesn’t matter” who wins control of Congress, at 26 percent.
The poll was conducted from Mar. 20-24 and included 1,012 adults.
