Published on Jun 30, 2015 On "The Kelly File" tonight, Ann Coulter and Geraldo Rivera clashed over Donald Trump's controversial remarks about illegal immigration. Geraldo Confronts ‘Polemicist’ Coulter over Book: Insulting ‘Screed’ Against Latinos Geraldo Rivera and Ann Coulter squared off tonight on Megyn Kelly‘s show over immigration, and Rivera confronted her over her new book, which he deemed an insulting “screed” against Latinos. geraldo Rivera said on megyn Kelly’s show last night that illegal immigrants commit less crimes on average than the entire country. Coulter tonight said that’s not true, insisting the government is not giving the full numbers. Rivera insisted that crime in places like L.A. and New York is down, but not before saying the title of her book, Adios, America!, is an “insulting insinuation” that Latinos will “drag down and degrade” America. He didn’t think it fair to call her a racist, but called Coulter a “polemicist” who doesn’t understand that immigrants are contributing a lot to American society. “When Mexico sends its people, they’re not sending their best. […] They’re sending people that have lots of problems, and they’re bringing those problems with us. They’re bringing drugs. They’re bringing crime. They’re rapists. And some, I assume, are good people,” Trump said while announcing his run for president. Coulter, who agrees with Trump, said "these are not people who have a right to be here." "Immigration is a government policy like any other and it ought to be used to benefit the people already living here," Coulter stated. "There should not be any criminals coming in." She added that the idea immigrants are committing crimes at a lower rate than the native population is "preposterous."Rivera fired back at Coulter, saying that he thinks the title of her new book, "Adios America: The Left's Plan to Turn Our Country Into a Third World Hellhole," is "insulting." "The title of her book ... is an insulting insinuation that Latinos are somehow going to ... drag down the America that we all love," he stated. "This is an insult." Rivera told Coulter that he doesn't think she is a racist, but said she is a "polemicist." Stay tuned for the video.
