Want... Electronic car maker Tesla announced a new plan to build more charging stations in China to solve the problem of long lines for customers, reports our Chinese-language sister paper Want Daily.

Tesla held a press conference on April 30 in Los Angeles to reveal its charging network plan.

According to Beijing Daily, Tesla will put supercharging stations in Qinhuangdao, Jinzhou, Changchun, and Harbin to complete its super charging route that already includes Beijing, Qinhuangdao, Jinzhou, Shenyang, Changchun, and Harbin.

A newly built supercharging station is going to begin service in Changchun, Jilin province in mid-July. Also, a a supercharging station in Shijiazhuang will be added to a supercharging route which already includes Beijing, Tianjin, and Handan.

Tesla said so far, China has 1,300 charging stations all over China, including Lhasa, Xining, Hohhot, Xishuangbanna Dai autonomous prefecture, Sanya, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Lijiang, Guilin, Chengdu, Shanghai, Luoyang, Weihai, Beijing, Dalian, Shenyang, as well as in other cities' hotels, shopping malls, and business buildings. There are currently 20 charging station construction projects which will be completed in Yangzhou, Huagshan city, Changchun, Quanzhou, and Shaghai over the next 3 weeks.

Zhu Xiaotong, the manager of Tesla China, said the company worked out a strategic cooperation agreement with the Crowne Plaza Hotel, an international hotel operator, to build charging stations at Crowne Plaza hotels in China beginning in July. There will be 68 Crowne Plaze hotels and resorts that could provide the electronic charging service to Tesla's car at the end of this year

Should reduce urban industrial pollution especially if some of the electricity comes from solar.

Half or 2/3 of the news from China shows them outclassing the stupid old US something fierce, usually using our tech and toys better than we do. It's the USG that's standing between people and happiness, banning or overtaxing/over- regulating everything we need and draining people's blood to the brink every April 15 (or quarterly, even better).
