Hi folks. I was listening briefly to George Noory's show last night (Coast to Coast) and they were talking about John Titor, the time traveler. If any of you have opinions on whether he's real or not, or on his "predictions" (civil war in US in the next couple of years, etc), I'd be interested to hear what you think. Frankly the future he describes in 2036 sounds pretty good to me...

Well truthfully I think it's so much BS.. If he is as he claims .. why then didnt a civil war break out in 2005? Good for entertainment value that's about it.

I don't know anything about him, but I would put more credence in Nostradamus than anyone who claims to be a time traveller.

LOL, I would tend to agree with you both. However, I would not be surprised if a civil war DOES break out in the US and I do like his view of the future and how people will go back to living in smaller towns and communities and providing for themselves. His ideas are really interesting (probably in the same way that science fiction is).

I woke up for some reason at shortly after midnight, tuned into to Coast to Coast AM and heard Oliver Williams discussing John Titor. First I'd ever heard of this alleged time traveler.

I don't know what to think about John, but that discussion did have the effect of making Alex Jones seem very mainstream by comparison afterwards.

Frankly, a nuclear war killing 3 billion people in 2015 sounds very plausible to me. Many of the powers that be have said that would not be a negative development in their minds.

The "country versus cities" battle sounds likely also. I am in the country, but I don't think like these people. Frankly, the country folk of the Deep South are effin' nuts. Too much inbreeding.

Oh I agree.. it's a matter of time really. On living in small towns and communities.. wouldnt that be nice.. maybe he's appealing to what people long for? More likely.. think Bombay.. thats what it will be like in the future..

By George (or Sam ;) I think you're right. Not too many people can make Alex seem mainstream. I just couldn't stay up for Alex though - wish they re-ran Coast to Coast at a more reasonable hour for the East Coast - George does have some interesting people on.

Ultimately, I think you're right Zip. One thing I notice in reading over his posts at this John Titor site is that he doesn't give much specific information as to names and dates. Esp dates. I don't understand the point of telling us all this stuff if he can't prove it. It's entertaining though.

What is also interesting to me is that almost all these versions or visions of the future seem to be negative. What does that say about our time or our thinking? Titor actually sounds like he might be writing the Terminator movies...

I think that the whole concept of 'time travel' and 'remote viewing' is pure propaganda. designed to discredit people who say things different from the mainstream media.

I think that george noory's show is complete new world order propaganda. they might have some people on I like (alex Jones) and some christian oriented people. but they're just building audience and credibility for themselves by doing this.

I remember when art bell hosted and the show was free, back in 1994. I remember he answered the phone and the caller went right on the air and there was no screening at all. Art would engage every single caller about whatever the caller wanted to say. That's when it was a good show. One guy called every night and spoke a bible verse then talked a little lesson about that verse. That fellow was the first fellow censored and not allowed to speak after that. Then they would not allow any talk about politics, because people were calling in and talking about clinton scandals, and they put a stop to it. Since then it has just gone downhill.

art bell himself had some serious legal troubles maybe 7-8 years ago. He was arrested and charged with being a child molester. he was held the national news said in solitary confinement. then 3-4 days after they arrested him the national news said he was released and that it was all a big mistake. they said that art bell's 14 year old son was molested instead. and they thought for some reason art was the perpetrator, but they made a mistake and it was someone else instead. But their story has no credibility. You don't mistakenly arrest someone like that. after that incident art went off the air for a long time and then only came back on weekends. But art also made a massive amount of money from it, they bought his show and put his name on it, and paid him a lot of money. that's when they brought in george noory. now they've put art off the air again. his wife is dead. who knows what the real story is as to these events.

I have been wondering about what happened to Art myself, Red. He has had all these strange troubles as you say. He was also involved in some weird thing where people were accusing him of being anti-Filipino although his late wife was Filipino. It was like he was under siege. Well...maybe he was.

I felt so badly for him that his wife passed away so suddenly at such a young age. Sometimes these things just happen, but it makes ya wonder.

Generally, I'm unable to listen to Noory - I used to be able to stay up later for Art as my work schedule was different, but I don't hear much of Noory.

I remember back in 1994 I was working a part-time job where I worked basically at night. and at the same time I was teaching myself computer programming. and so it was convenient for me to listen to art bell show in its entirety, from 10 pm to 5 am. It was a great show in 1994 when I listened. But like I said it really went down-hill and became crazy. I only tune in when I can't sleep and want to hear the propaganda they're spewing now. I was shocked at how pro-war Noory is concerning Iran. it's funny how his wife just died and then all of a sudden he's off the air and art himself doesn't even speak to his audience about it.

I went on a cruise to Scandinavia and Russia in 1996 with Art and Ramona Bell as the hosts. So it's not like Art and I are personal friends, but I have met the guy. His son, Art Jr., was 15 at the time and on the cruise with Art and Ramona. Art Jr. is from a previous marriage. I do not think what Red Jones is saying is correct, but whatever. All I remember is that Art Jr. was molested by one of his male teachers and that's why Art Sr. went off the air suddenly several years ago, to devote full-time to Jr's situation. Jr. was suicidal from the whole ordeal.

Ramona in particular was very nice to me. She actually remembered me the rest of the cruise after only meeting me once and would say hello and call out my name whenever our paths crossed on the ship, which was the MS Maasdam of the Holland America line.

I agree that his show was really good at first and then sort of came under control. The same thing happened to Limbaugh. Limbaugh went downhill way worse than Bell ever did. Limbaugh has not been listenable since about 10 years or more ago.

I think Art is retired by choice, from what I have heard. I heard him explain why he is so rarely on the air as recently as one night last month. He said he was 60 years old and that to do a talk show right you had to live and breathe it on and off the air and he was no longer willing to do that at his age. Then Ramona passed away right after that. So I would not be doing anything but cutting the guy slack at this point.
