When 2016 Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump said during his June announcement speech that Mexico wasn’t sending its best people illegally across the border into the United States, he was exactly right, according to a newly released report.

While illegal immigrants make up about 3.5 percent of the U.S. population, they were responsible for a mind-blowing 36.7 percent of federal prison sentences in the 2014 fiscal year, according to U.S. Sentencing Commission data.

Breaking down the numbers, of 74,911 federal sentencing cases, illegal aliens accounted for 27,505. Legal immigrants accounted for 3,017 cases while the remainder were American citizens.

Needless to say, liberals, Latino activist groups and most of the mainstream media, who use every waking moment to paint Trump as an anti-immigration racist, won’t be happy with this new federal data that proves Trump correct.

Further proving Trump’s assertions that many illegal aliens have criminal intent when crossing the border, the data showed that illegal aliens represented 74.1 percent of the drug-related cases, 12 percent of murder convictions and 20 percent of kidnapping or hostage taking cases.

According to Breitbart, a GOP aide sent them an email that expressed his concern about the alarming statistics.

“These statistics blew me away, and they blow a hole through the oft-repeated line that people only want to come to America to work. It’s tragic so few politicians are willing even to acknowledge the true extent of this problem, but until more do, more Americans will keep getting harmed,” the aide wrote.

One thing we know for sure is that you didn’t hear these statistics from the mainstream media, as they would completely derail the 24/7 anti-Trump agenda.

Americans from both sides of the political aisle are gravitating toward the no-nonsense, truth bomb-dispersing candidate because he’s not afraid of his own political shadow and he’s willing to expose the real issues that America faces today, sans filter.

His firebrand speeches are quite refreshing. Voters complain after every election that they’re tired of career politicians. Trump may not be a perfect candidate, but at least he offers a solution to that problem.
