Title: Jesse Ventura On The Possibility Of A Trump-Ventura Ticket

Jesse Ventura is getting national attention after asking this question of Donald Trump’s former campaign adviser on his “Off the Grid” online show: “Do you think Donald would ever consider me?”

The former governor of Minnesota said he’d seriously consider being Trump’s running mate.

Ventura spoke only to WCCO’s Jennifer Mayerle about the election and Trump’s run for president.

Ventura is pulling for his friend and Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump.

“If Donald Trump were to ask me to be his running mate, I would give it very serious consideration because anything to break up the status quo of this country,” Ventura said. “This country needs to be shaken up. It needs to be shaken to its very core, and Donald Trump is doing that.”

The billionaire businessman is leading the polls in the Republican race for president. He was center stage at the first debate among candidates, making headlines for being outspoken and controversial.

“My advice to him at this point would be, ‘Don’t you dare back down, cause if you back down now, you’re finished,'” Ventura said. “They tell you defense wins Superbowls, but that’s not presidential. Offense can win the presidency.”

Ventura thinks having his name on the ticket would help bring in votes.

“We’ve been friends for about 25 years, so I don’t know if it’s in the cards or not, but it just went through my head, ‘Boy would that ever get the Republicans angry,’” Ventura said.

Trump made a stop in the Twin Cities in 2000, where he attended a fundraiser for Ventura. At that time, the governor announced his support for a Trump run at the White House.

“He hasn’t announced himself as a candidate for president yet, but I will say this: I certainly hope that he does,” Ventura said on Jan. 7, 2000.

Fifteen years later: “I see Donald Trump very much, and Bernie Sanders, too, campaigning like I did when I won the governorship of the state of Minnesota. Speaking from the heart, speaking with no notes and just telling people what you feel and the truth, and if you do that, you have a damn good chance to win.”

Ventura thinks what’s attracting voters to Trump is that, like him, Trump is not a career politician and he speaks freely.

Great find!!! To prove Sean doesn't bully, he instantly starts trying to shout a non-shouting Ventura down about his (Sean's) bullying. Very exciting that Ventura socks it to him about this without compromise.

This is Exhibit A of reality vs. cuck. Ventura acts very secure within himself and speaks in a normal adult range. Seanny as always does this "innocent lovable earnest Boy Scout" shtick, shrilling in a boyish range, his brow ever furrowed in luvvable sincerity that's supposed to induce you to let him win every point despite his berserk irrationality -- the whole of him hovering constantly on (in effect) emotional eruption of pseudo-righteous indignation. His 1920s-style look (including coiffure) is supposed to finally convince us he cares about anything older than the last Republican presidency.

Sean is the consummate cuck and this whole very hostile encounter feels for all the world like cucks on the run. Ventura's clearly fed up with them and doesn't play the TV game with him AT ALL. It feels...... IT FEELS like times are really changing.

Donald/Jesse would certainly give voters a line-in-the-sand, manly ticket to support.

They could eliminate the White House spokesman position; it would be totally unnecessary with those guys.

If there were ever any question about what they meant to say, they'd just come back and double-down for the benefit of the slow of understanding.

Trump/Ventura bump

I'm no Trump fan, but I'm a Ventura fan.

If Donald sticks around and survives the primaries and selects Jesse, then I might jump on the band wagon.

Great point, since they both speak the truth plainly, as they know it; speechwriters would be totally unnecessary also.

Speechwriters are one of the absolute banes on everything. No public figure (the higher up you go) is capable of making even a brief statement without looking down at a podium. It's sick -- it's not the real them, the real them is forever shielded by another form of bureaucracy!

Every prez-cand should be required to speak for 30 minutes with no notes on the issues and his plans -- and NO CUING OF ANY KIND.

After hitting Share, the first blue bar is the Link bar, which you posted; you have to go to the right and mash Embed to get the blue code (which is quite long) to embed the video here.

Keep working on it.

If the rest of us can do it, so can you. :-))

I'll pass on Jesse Ventura, he's been hiding out in mexico:

NEW YORK DAILY NEWS /

Jesse Ventura says he’s gone ‘off the grid’ in Mexico so drones can't find him

Former pro wrestler and Minnesota governor Jesse Ventura says he has gone "off the grid" in Mexico so drones can't find him.

Ventura's explosive comments, delivered in what appeared to be all seriousness, followed a reporter's inquiry on where he was during a TV interview with CNBC on Tuesday.

"I move about with my TV show so that the drones can't find me and you won't know exactly where I am so long as I have solar power and we can reach the satellite," he responded.

Asked if he was serious he went on to compare the U.S. to the Soviet-reigned East Berlin.

"I've tried for 20 years to warn the country about the Democrats and Republicans and nobody's listening," he said. "Now I'm doing it from the outside looking in ... And I don't like what I see."
