Prosecutors have charged a mother who was nursing her baby boy with "crimes against animals" for not handling a wild skunk and getting it out of the hot sun after it was trapped in her backyard. Cynthia Casas faces $20,000 in fines and a year in prison, with a court date in September. "She made it out like she came and caught me doing something malicious to an animal," Casas explained. "How could this happen when we're trying to do the right thing?" she asked. "Humane Officer and wildlife expert" FAVIOLA LEON arrived and admonished the woman for not taking care of the wild skunk. The Inland Valley Humane Society boasts that they have a 100% conviction rate. The insane, deranged agency can be reached at (909) 623-9777.

Truly insane. Skunks are rabies carriers, nothing good comes from them. Even my vet told me that the only good skunk is a dead skunk.

It's indeed insane and evil. This typifies the nature of criminal, revenue agent government,. creating criminals out of innocents and oppressing the people. when I see stories like this I know how much grief and turmoil this causes the innocent woman and her family- facing jail? 20k in fines? courts? these bastards are beyond disgusting. I just hope this woman and her advisers know enough to plead not guilty to this garbage because a jury here would never convict a woman for something like this. this is the same city where my grandfather had a small farm with chickens and the neighbors cat would continually come and eat his baby chicks. you know what he did? he warned the neighbor and told him if your cat comes into my yard again I will shoot it. and he assigned the task to my dad, who was a kid, and who quickly took the cat out with his .22 the next time it happened. he would bring his rifle to school and hike in the hills with his friends after school. imagine that today if a kid brought a loaded gun to school and put it in the closet with his coat?? the same city is now trying to put nursing mothers in prison for trapping a rabid skunk!!! WTF!!! the world is way beyond sick. here's another good one. I once knew a guy who had a busybody city code inspector come into his yard and give him a ticket for grass too long, on the strip that lies between the public sidewalk and the street in front of the guys house. the guy cluelessly just paid the citation and you know what happened?? unbeknownst to him, it was a misdemeanor criminal charge and then he was assigned a probation officer who would visit him and harass him endlessly about chipping paint, etc. he was a reformed gang member who had gone clean, bought a house and had started a family. this is the kind of stuff why I always tell people don't ever , ever plead guilty to anything. I agree with that. However, never underestimate the government's ability to obtain a guilty verdict in a trial that they completely control. They own the cops who habitually lie, they own the judge, they suppress exculpatory evidence, they stack the jury, they intimidate the jury, they even own your defense attorney to a great extent, as he has to "go along to get along" with the system. Governments stack juries with people who have miserable lives, knowing that the jury will jump at the chance to make someone else's life miserable also. Remember, 66 million people voted for Obama in 2012. And another 61 million voted for Romney. These same people will be on your jury. don't ever , ever plead guilty to anything.

I agree with everything you said. however if everyone even pled not guilty that would freeze up the system to the extent that theyd be unable to handle it. this is a tactic that has been proposed by some big names and I agree with it. crash the system by invoking what little rights you have. for example in CA most people don't know that you can plead not guilty and have a trial by mail without having to 'take a day off work.' almost no one knows this but when they find out theyre usually willing to give it a shot. and then if you lose youre entitled to a brand new trial in person anyway, (not an appeal) so its a completely free shot with nothing to lose. after one , two or three extensions of arraignment, this drags it out often a year before trial and the pig usually wont even remember it by then. this is t kind of stuff that takes very little effort but can be very effective. people are really interested in this type stuff nowdays since the economy is bad.
