Poroshenko opened the forum, suggesting escalated war on Donbass, saying: (N)ow it is high time to discuss the possibility to deploy an operation in the Donbass to support due implementation of the Minsk Agreement - ceasefire terms he violated straightaway after agreeing to observe them, mobilizing 90,000 troops for escalated war, refusing to withdraw heavy weapons from frontline positions as mandated, and shelling civilian communities multiple times daily. Since Kiev launched naked aggression on its own people in April 2014, it military continued daily attacks, including deliberately targeting civilian areas and committing gruesome atrocities. Poroshenko takes orders from Washington. Obama wants war, not peace. Conflict continues unresolved. Yatsenyuk called for keeping maximum pressure on Russia - outrageously accusing Putin of fighting not only against Ukraine (but) against the free world. He demanded thousands of nonexistent Russia troops withdraw from Novorossia and return Crimea to Ukraine. Donald Trump delivered a video-linked address, his typical rant, bashing Obama, displaying embarrassing ignorance about Ukraine, the ongoing conflict, its people, economy and severe self- inflicted and US-led Western-caused problems. Its a tossup whether he, Poroshenko, Yatsenyuk, or Victoria Nuland was the events lowlight. They all deserve discredit. Nuland arrogantly said Yalta one day will return to Ukraine, nonexistent Russian aggression continues, and sanctions will stay in place as long as Washington says so. She praised Ukraines so-called success in stabiliz(ing) its corruption-ridden, bankrupt economy heading toward collapse - at the same time blaming Russia and Donbass freedom fighters for US- orchestrated aggression, using Kiev forces as proxies. As long as US policy remains unchanged, war on Donbass will continue,. Russia will irresponsibly be blamed, and flashpoint conditions could spark East/West confrontation risking unthinkable nuclear war. Stephen Lendman lives in Chicago.
