This looks maybe 10 or 20 years old, maybe less -- in any case, at least 30 years after the fact. I call this history drag -- the media finally getting around to important things so far after the fact it gives malefactors a pass. My favorite case: Stalin's atrocities weren't mentioned much during or after his life. Then finally about 1990, a book -- STALIN: A TIME FOR JUDGMENT!

Get it? He escaped judgment his whole evil life long, and the time to indict him came 35 years after he died. Mebbe a third of a century is the unofficially allotted fallow period?
