73-year old Ed Brown and his wife, 75-year-old Elaine Brown, are currently serving 37 and 35-year terms in federal prison for tax crimes and other felonies associated with the standoff with federal law enforcement agencies. The standoff lasted from February, 2007 to October 4, 2007, when the Browns were arrested by feds posing as 'patriot supporters.' The public auction for their home and commercial properties is being held on 10/22/2015 at 11:00 AM in New Hampshire. The U.S. Department of Treasury has posted an extensive 'NOTICE OF JUDICIAL SALE" on their website, with many dozens of photographs of the interior and exterior of the Brown's (former) home and outbuildings.
Prior to their arrest, Ed Brown said that law enforcement was part of a "Zionist, Illuminati, Freemason movement," and that income tax was part of "a deliberate plot perpetrated by Freemasons to control the American people and eventually the world." On a radio show in 2007, Ed Brown said "This is the beginning of one very huge movement. I'm not quite sure you understand the ramifications of what's going on right now. This is massive. This is international. We are fed up with the Zionist Illuminati. That's what this is all about. Loud and clear. Zionist Illuminati. Lawyers, whatever they are, okay, it's going to stop."
The photo to the right is of the Brown's commercial property, where Mrs. Brown had her dentist office. The standoff with police at the Brown's home was quite lengthy. It lasted from February, 2007 to October 4, 2007, when the Browns were arrested by feds posing as 'patriot supporters.' [Note: I remember in 2007, during the Brown 'stand-off,' I was at a Ron Paul Rally in Southern California and asked G. Edward Griffin what he thought about the Brown case, and he said "I salute them." Some day I will have to dig that video footage up and post it.]
On July 9, 2009, Edward and Elaine Brown were found guilty on all charges. On October 2, 2009 Elaine Brown was sentenced to 35 years in a Federal prison. In January 2010, Edward Brown was sentenced to 37 years in prison. They both appealed their convictions, but their appeals were rejected. The government claims that the land migh be 'booby-trapped,' and that they found 'weapons, ammunition, explosive devices and booby traps' on the property after the Brown's arrest.
Jeff Dickstein is a hero on this -- he's won a number of key cases for decades. It's a shame that he's so negative -- I guess he doesn't tell the more exciting truth so he can keep his license.
Horrible about the Browns -- freest country in the world??? Schiff is the father of Peter Schiff, one time failed Senate candidate and economic pundit. While promoting libertarian style economics, when he ran for U.S. Senate in the GOP primaries, Schiff took a decidely 'mainstream Republican' position when it came to Israel, Iran and foreign policy- very similar to Rand Paul's pathetic positions today.
