If we may offer a humble suggestion
In our considered opinion, the Pentagon should consult Jim Rickards more often.
His proven intelligence system using indicators and warnings (I&W) would have probably prevented the folks in Arlington from making a lot of boneheaded mistakes...
The Pentagon proudly announced that it airdropped 50 tons of ammunition to the right kind of Syrian rebels -- the good guys -- fighting the dastardly regime of Bashar Assad.
This after the Pentagon less proudly announced last week it was abandoning efforts to train the selfsame Syrian rebels.
The program hadnt been quite the success it was hoped to be
Turns out they could only vet and train 60 of the moderate sort of rebels they sought, falling a good deal short of the original goal of 5,400.
At a cost of $580 million, our crude math works that out to nearly $10 million per fighter.
$10 million
to train one single fighter!
We can only imagine the level of training $10 million can buy. Rambo would surely flee in panicked retreat if he had to face one of these dreadnoughts.
Our agents inform us that four or five of these warriors remain on the field of battle. The rest have been killed or captured or have run off to fight for someone else.
But with the airdrop, we now have 50 tons of ammo split among five of our rebels...
The bad guys are in trouble now.
Its a crazy world, dear reader. To see how crazy, we suggest you read on for the latest missive from the Mogambo Guru.
