PressTV...

Several US Republicans have denounced leading presidential candidate Donald Trump for blaming former President George W. Bush for the September 11, 2001 attacks.

The controversy erupted when Trump noted in a television interview on Friday that the terror attacks took place on Bush’s watch, implying that Bush deserves some blame for the deadly attacks.

“When you talk about George Bush – I mean, say what you want, the World Trade Center came down during his time,” Trump told Bloomberg TV.

Trump’s remarks drew angry response from his Republican rival, Jeb Bush, the brother of the former president. Bush called Trump’s comments “pathetic”.

“How pathetic for (Trump) to criticize the president for 9/11," Bush tweeted. "We were attacked and my brother kept us safe."

Another GOP presidential candidate, Ben Carson, said it’s ridiculous to suggest that Bush was behind the terror attacks.

"I think it's ridiculous to suggest that (Bush) is responsible for it," Carson said.

Congressman Peter King, former chairman of the House Homeland Security Committee, said Trump’s comments showed his lack of knowledge, calling them "a cheap shot."

"I think Donald Trump is totally wrong there," King said Friday. "Anyone who has any real knowledge of that — you can get all the CIA people, all of the career people — no one saw the attack of 9/11 coming.”

“And to blame George Bush for what happened on September 11...shows a lack of knowledge and is too much of a cheap shot at the president,” he said.

The September, 11, 2001 attacks, also known as the 9/11 attacks, were a series of strikes in the US which killed nearly 3,000 people and caused about $10 billion worth of property and infrastructure damage.

US officials assert that the attacks were carried out by al-Qaeda terrorists but many experts have raised questions about the official account.

They believe that rogue elements within the US government, such as former Vice President Dick Cheney, orchestrated or at least encouraged the 9/11 attacks in order to accelerate the US war machine and advance the Zionist agenda.

Trump just reflecting the developing consensus; might win him votes from those tired of government lies.

King is full of shit!

As Lew Rockwell points out here

Bin Ladin Determined To Strike in US was the President's Daily Brief prepared by the Central Intelligence Agency and given to U.S. President George W. Bush on Monday, August 6, 2001. The brief warned of terrorism threats from Osama bin Laden and al-Qaeda 36 days before the September 11, 2001 attacks.[1]

Maybe, just maybe, some notable percent of the sheeple are ready to accept that Baby Doc Bush wasn't perfect. There's no arguing with the fact that 9/11 took place on his watch, and on that basis alone he should be behind bars or on death row WITHOUT ANY OTHER FACTORS ENTERING IN.

Merely being president when that happened (or Secy of State, whatever) IS a crime. THEY ARE CULPABLE regardless of who actually carried out the crime, and for my money, it's DR. JUDY WOOD (ex-Clemson) who's got the goods there.

Let's hope Trump's gamble of asserting this brings rewards and Jewb's gamble of spitting at it brings him further slippage and stultification.

Bush and Blair planned for Iraq War a year beforehand, as evidenced by leaked Hillary memos from 2002.

Trump's shot at #43 should place Jeb in a position to defend the Iraq war and it's aftermath. The neocons & chattering political class will howl at Trump's tactic, but I see it as bold and strategic. The Donald has the Bush political dynasty quivering. He best up his personal protection.

He best up his personal protection.

Gee, I thought it happened when Bush was in charge???

Cheney certain as hell was "not in charge". It seemed for some time that no one was in charge of the asylum. Bush went into hiding, Cheney wet himself and a low level employee finally called a halt to the madness.

the Iraq war and it's aftermath

It appears that the Iranians have now joined the festivities in Iraq in the fight against ISIS. ISIS is a creation of the U.S. and Israel to provoke further instability in the M.E.

Part of this plan is to overthrow the regime of Assad in Syria. This action has caused the Russians to engage in their first military adventure outside the borders of the former Soviet Union in the last 25 years.

The game isn't over until the fat lady sings. And she hasn't even cleared her throat.

Be mindful that the U.S, holds the upper hand in Syria because of the defection of a former Soviet who was engaged in aeronautical radar used on fighter aircraft. He really spilled the beans on Soviet capabilities. ;)

Well whatever you think happened - or didn't happen - that day, it's a testament to the fact that something stinks that the High Holy of the US defense network, that monstrous Cult Temple called the Pentagon, was successfully attacked and ZERO HEADS ROLLED.

Jr. should have resigned.

The operation had telegraphed itself in many ways, and we know that people were warned, like the mayor of San Francisco who was tipped off not to fly. That's on record.

thanks for that. people often refer to the dancing izzys, along with their tv interview after they got back home, but not too many delve into the actual fbi and police reports, much less post actual copies of them. thanks!

you probably also know something that is never mentioned, which is also in those reports, and that is that israelis were also arrested in several other states that day, if i recall correctly ohio and pennsylvania.

Safe from what? The next two disastrous plane crash scenarios that day, after the WTC? No. The Anthrax Acts of Bio-Warfare soon after 9/11? No, not that either.

Anyone who has any real knowledge of 9/11 knows that it's beyond ridiculous to suggest no one in charge saw the reported attacks of 9/11 coming. That supposed excuse most certainly became defunct at the point of the 2nd alleged plane strike at the WTC, whereupon two more allegedly hijacked planes were left wandering the skies as suspect "WMDs" until they crashed, unintercepted at all -- one for longer than half an hour and the other for an entire hour.

911proof.com: PRIOR WARNINGS OF PLANES CRASHING INTO BUILDINGS

The administration's claim that terrorists crashing planes into buildings was not foreseeable is contradicted by numerous sources:
