I fear it's genetic from start to finish......... but the next question is how much of this woe would be happening without missionaries spending 150 years teaching them better santitation and health, ergo how to breed more excessively?
Tempted as I am to razz the big Catholic factor in the article, all denoms are to blame in this sense.
