I really got into this Third Way back in the mid 90's. Off the top of my head, I remember Gingrich was very tight with Alvin & Heidi Toffler. It was these two "former" socialists who introduced Gingrich to this hybrid brand of politics. Clinton, incidentally, mentioned the Third Way countless times publicly, if anyone is inclined to research the term. I've come to realize the Third Way is nothing more than a combination of transnational corporatism, imperialism and neo Capitalism (quite a stew).
I recall alan keyes going boinkers over the third way crap........all over clinton and blair; said if bush continued with certain language that he, alan, would be in the race.
At this point, i don't much care. we seem to be a nation that doesn't know shit from apple butter any more, all too willing to elect corruptible personages who prove to be cowards as well as liars, who shred the constitution better than any paper shredder could. All 'we' demand is to have oprah at 3, springer at 4, some talking head at 5, and then basketball, baseball, football, or some desperate housewife or stranded on an island wannabe who couldn't sing if their life depended on it.
I find life more refreshing of late to stay away from any 'indepth' exposure to the scum and corruption called fedgov....and the kneepadders who embrace them, who enable them, who defend them to the detriment of the nation.
No wonder you don't care. You believe in parables told in a 5,000 year old book. It shows a lack of critical thinking to believe that all problems will be solved by somebody that you don't even know for sure ever existed.
How do you know that chapters in the book weren't inserted by the Illumanti just for the purpose of duping you?
Do you believe in Zeus? Athena? Poisiden? There is as much evidence for these Gods as for your God.
If there is a God and he did create the universe - then he was the one who gave you a brain. He will be very disappointed if you don't use it.
I apologize for the 'language' of my hasty response.
It most certainly shot out as the result of my being sick and tired of Christ being attacked and saints being attacked by yahoos, twits, and other assorted types who seemingly feel compelled to voucher an opinion, attack, or whatever one desires to call such words, about what they neither have studied nor come to know.
Seeing how over the past year or so, my responses to such crap virtually all included the spiffy, quick, and effective FUCK OFF comment, I've reduced the amount of time online and definitely on posting comments. In this case, JT specifically pinged me.
Uncalled for personal attacks, such as you typed, are but one of the reasons I try to keep from putting in my 10 cents regarding issues [no doubt others refrain for the same sorts of reasons--and it isn't just you--you are merely a symbol of the 'they' or 'other'--nor is it restricted to any specific topic].
I'll leave you with this:
Ya know.....if what you 'believe' is the way it really is, then neither you, I, or anyone are harmed, hurt, lost, or otherwise affected or impacted by what I 'believe'. On the other hand, if what I 'believe' is the way it really is, then you and many others are gonna be in deep shit, er pit......pit. Like an eternal charcoal briquet in the service of Satan/Lucifer/dragon/serpent/Leviathan or whatever it is you prefer calling your master.
